Aquiles Navarro & Tcheser Holmes (Irreversible Entanglements) announce album & share new single ‘Pueblo’ (out today)
Telepathic Afro-Caribbean improvisational trumpet-and-percussion duo Aquiles Navarro and Tcheser Holmes are longtime friends, collaborators, and tireless hustlers on the creative music scenes of New York City. Today, they announce their new album, Heritage of the Invisible II, out October 23rd on International Anthem, and present its lead single/video, “Pueblo.” It is “a celebration of life, the coming together of the people, el pueblo, a celebration of who we are, where we come from, it’s our pueblo, our people, a feeling of openness, hope, and a future of unity from el pueblo, the people,” says Navarro.
EN-STIGMA – “The Transcendal Force of the Universe”
En-Stigma is a project of the bassist Vonifatios which was created in 2014 and is categorized as Galactic Progressive Metal. The first release was the single “Infernal Shadows” which was uploaded on youtube as a single. The spring of 2018 recordings for the album ”Reforming the Universe” began and were finished in October of 2018. For this work, En-Stigma had the help of George Tzachristas (lead guitars, keys, drum programming, growls), Anastasios Nikolaou (vocals), Anastasios Seremetis (oud), Glory (vocals), Alex Seretis (vocals), Infernal Lord (vocals), Helen Tragoudara (vocals), Constantine Tsapos (guitar solo).
Brazilian D&B producer Bungle has dropped new EP ‘Runaway’, out 1st September via the rising Eloisa Records.
The three track EP begins with title track ‘Runaway’ that see’s a rolling and grit fuelled bassline interject superbly with sharp and snappy percussion. Things take a deeper and darker turn with ‘Unleashed’ as technical and expansive atmospherics run rampant throughout the tune as the drums chop and change exquisitely. Seeing things home is an industrial growler, and not one for the faint hearted. The aptly named ‘Articulate’ is Bungle at his best and will no doubt be a choice cut for DJs across the drum & bass spectrum.

Delta Spirit share new single ‘The Pressure’
Delta Spirit have shared their new single, ‘The Pressure’ the latest track to be taken from their upcoming album What Is There, out on September 11th via New West Records. The track arrives alongside a video directed by Michael Parks Randa.
The track premiered with Paste Magazine, with frontman Matthew Logan Vasquez explaining, “Psychological projection is a defence mechanism in which the human ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves while attributing them to others. The track is an unvarnished exploration of intimacy and discontent that singer Emilie Alatalo describes as being “about built-up frustration manifesting itself through physical and psychological pain. When youʼre feeling like your whole person is about to burst.” This tension is mirrored in the clattering guitars and wash of cymbals that ebb and flow throughout the single, playing in contrast with Alatalo’s disdainful vocal delivery.

Bendrix Littleton shares new single “Daylight Curls”
Today, Bendrix Littleton shared his third single, “Daylight Curls,” from his upcoming solo debut, Deep Dark South, releasing September 25 via NNA Tapes. “‘Daylight Curls’ was written when I was visiting family in New England for an indeterminate amount of time,” Bendrix told Atwood Magazine for the track’s premiere. “After a while, it became apparent that I was abusing alcohol because I wasn’t used to feeling so still. The only people I know there are older adults so I spent a lot of time alone driving my mom’s car or reading at a local dive bar. Basically having to come to terms with feeling good with yourself to be able to sit still with yourself.”

Today, they share a brand new video for single, “Teal,” a track that is based on songwriter, guitarist and vocalist, Dee Frank’s real life and events that occurred in both his life and his father’s. He explains, “As a young boy my father was in and out of the California penal system which directly affected his mental health and as a result ended up in prison for four years for armed robbery. I was raised visiting my father and sending him letters. The lyrics are partly me talking to my mother about him, partly him talking to his mother about himself and me wondering if the same rebelliousness lives on in me.”
