NYC indie rock vocalist Cat Dail assembles Grammy winning band for new song “Red Pill”
NYC based vocalist and songwriter Cat Dail hasn’t let the doldrums of 2020 slow her down. In fact, she’s released some of her best work yet with new single “Red Pill” – an indie rock punch in the gut with a timely and important message. Produced by Clark Gayton (Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen), this star studded track is a sonic delight, evoking a 90’s alternative indie rock vibe mixed with a radio friendly rock-pop style that highlights the strengths of the incredible lineup of musicians on the song. Cat’s vocal performance is soaring, spirited and inspirational – driving home a message of hope and awareness in a world awash in racism and misogyny.
DEAD SWELLS SHARE SINGLE “ALWAYS THINKING BOUT IT”
Dead Swells share “Always Thinking Bout It,” the second single from their upcoming self-titled debut album, due out August 7th via Artist Formula Record Group. Glide premiered the track, praising how its “swirling colorful keyboards and well worn vocals provide a flashback flourish that is ridiculously retro yet undeniably current.” “Always Thinking Bout It” takes the shape of Paul Nedorestek (vocals, guitar, keys) asking himself questions about past relationships. The chorus echoing “it’s never over,” the track centers around how even if a failed relationship is finished, it never really feels over. While it’s easy to get pulled back into past problems, “you have to move on and tell yourself to get on with you life and not look back,” says Nedorestek.
LOLA YOUNG SHARES NEW TRACK, “WOMAN”
Today, Capitol Records released “Woman,” Lola Young’s ode to women everywhere. The song – which received its first U.K. play on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show – is about female empowerment and also examines the struggles and hardships women face because of their gender and how society judges them based on entrenched stereotypical roles. Coming on the heels of the 19-year-old artist’s Renaissance EP, “Woman” is another beautiful performance from Young, with the nature of the song bringing out a side to her that has yet to be seen. CHROME WAVES Completes Second Full-Length, Where We Live
CHROME WAVES was rebooted in 2018 when guitarist Jeff Wilson (ex-Nachtmystium, Wolvhammer, Abigail Williams) took the lead and reformulated the band’s sound, and began constructing the band’s first material since their 2012-released eponymous debut EP. Since its reformation, the act has been incredibly proactive, releasing their debut LP, A Grief Observed, just months after getting back together.

M3lted is a singer/songwriter, electronic musician and producer known for his genre blending style, hard bass, dirty synth lines and signature contrasting vocals. In addition to creating his music, he has created an entire visual world to go along with it. Originally starting as an idea for a virtual reality video game, he developed the story and concept around it for over a year, creating a mysterious character and storyline unfolding in his videos and artwork.
CHRIS CORNELL COVERS GUNS N’ ROSES “PATIENCE”
Last Monday, July 20, on what would have been Chris Cornell’s 56th birthday, Vicky Cornell on behalf of The Chris Cornell Estate released his never before heard cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Patience.” The song is accompanied by a music video that was produced by Toni and Christopher Cornell, and features personal images, including special photos taken at home by friend and photographer Steven Lyon.

The video was shot on VHS by Say Goodnight Film and further accentuates the lyrical narrative of the track with dreamy aesthetics. Speaking about the production process, Paul from Say Goodnight said, “Beginning with abstract concepts and building a narrative was helpful on where we could utilize the location of home/space we had during lockdown to create an original and dreamy video.”
