Norwegian artist Ane Brun debuts “Song For Thrill and Tom” video
“Song for Thrill and Tom” is about a complex, beautiful and extraordinary love story. The main characters are real people in my life, who I’ve tried to portray as authentic as possible, so that it becomes like a musical monument of the existence of their love. Like a ring on their fingers,” Brun explains, “Thrill and Tom, are my dear friend Tirilleia and her Tom, the great love of her life, who tragically passed away two years ago.” Tirilleia directed the video, saying “Developing and printing these precious memories from our 20 years together, has been the hardest – yet most healing – thing I have ever done. I hope by sharing the love, it can heal others too.”
Country Westerns share new video via CoS
Consequence of Sound debuted the video via its “Origins” series, which allowed the band to open up on the creation of the track. “Getting to record at Strange Weather with Matt Sweeney and Daniel Schlatt was a godsend,” the band’s Joey Plunkett said to Consequence of Sound about their work with producer Matt Sweeney (Iggy Pop, Chavez). “Carmine’s Pizza, Sneaking pints at Harefield Road, soup dumplings and the pulse of being back in NYC on a block where I had lived for many years previously made everything more immediate and special all at once. The state of the world these days makes it even more vivid and magic. Hope we get back there soon.”

CIRCA WAVES Release “Sadder, Happier” acoustic EP
Made up of five unreleased tracks, the EP includes an acoustic version of lead single “Sad Happy”, introducing a whole new dimension of intimacy to the already emotively-driven fan favorite.
The original “Sad Happy” is lifted from the band’s latest record of the same title, which was celebrated as their highest charting release to date, debuting at #4 in the UK Official Album Charts. Additional tracks on the EP include “Gun In My Hand”, “The Only One Who Lets Me In”, “Sugar Side” and “Anti Social Anxiety”, all of which individually bear the markings of a band in their prime.

Arhythmic guitars and sporadically timed synth patterns accompany Thiago’s part-spoken, part-sung Portuguese vocals, which are harmonised by Laura Wrona and experimental artist Negro Leo. Claudio Brito on atabaque and timbau and Vinicius Cantuaria on drums are a Brazilian reminder of this music’s origin.

Check out the trippy music video, created by Ryan Todd, by heading over to New Noise Magazine. “The Decision video was shot in Sacramento, California all the way back in 2007, I believe?,” says Steven Jess Borth II. “It was the first-ever video that I was involved with in front of a green screen, and I thought the whole process was super interesting. Ryan Todd is a friend who has worked with me quite a bit, and this was my second music video with him. I remember he used a RED camera and being really impressed at how clear everything turned out on screen.” Dub Defender Sessions releases on May 22nd via New Zealand indie label Anicca Records.

Seth Walker Shares “We Got This” Video
The song is a rallying cry for people everywhere to come together. While its origins pre-dated the COVID-19 outbreak, Walker completed the lyrics and recording with the help of producer Jano Rix of The Wood Brothers following the shutdown caused by the pandemic. The accompanying video, which was directed by Austin, TX-based artist, Gary Dorsey, presents visual images flashing across the screen from crises overcome throughout the history of the United States.

Along with the video premiere is the announcement of Used Cassettes’ self-titled LP which will also be there final record. Used Cassettes is due out on June 5th, 2020 via Loose Union. Regarding the single, Lead singer Danny Arens had a few things to say about the single: “From the beginning we knew the melody had something special in it; a melodic nod to ballads from the 50’s and 60’s. As a band we were all dealing with the fact that we were going our own ways. All of us were going through difficult personal emotions at the time. “Dirty Beaches” waltzes that balance of appreciating what you had and the pain of moving on.”

German metal act DUST BOLT have just released a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing new video for their emotional single “Exit”, off the 2016 album Mass Confusion. DUST BOLTaddresses a rather important topic with “Exit”: one’s own mental health. Everyone suffers from mental health issues from time to time, some more than others. Especially under the circumstances we are currently living in, social distancing becomes a mostly overseen social problem. But the fewest actually talk openly about it, and rather isolate themselves instead of opening up to someone. With “Exit”, the band wants to encourage people who suffer from these kind of issues to step forward and lean on a friend in times of dire need, to believe in themselves and to accept help when provided or provide help yourself for others.
