Fearing’s “Shadow” LP Out Today on Funeral Party!
The Big Takeover says album opener, “Catacombs”, “sweeps by with a cantering bass line, sharper guitar lines, and propulsive drumming. Swirls of synths break out, creating a dreamy atmosphere amid the heaviness of the bass line. Noir sing-talking vocals take on a dispassionate tone that bleakly speak of the futility of it all.”
Vanyaland says “perhaps nothing better reflects our gloomy times trapped within walls than Shadow.”
Fearing is a dark post-punk band based out of Oakland, California who formed in 2016, when an online friendship quickly blossomed between Rogers & Brian Vega (guitar/vocals). What started as collaborations between the two and their bedroom synth projects; Fearing was formed out of the desire to combine both of their talents and to create something new & fresh in the Bay Area.
