LA-based Americana singer-songwriter-guitar slinger TOM SLESS is set to release his debut full-length album, California Dream, March 27, 2020 on Marina Vista Records.
Co-produced by the Jersey Shore native with John Bottrell (Christina Perri, Mike Posner) and recorded live in the studio at comp-ny in Glendale, CA, California Dream carries us along Sless’s soulful ride down the winding roads of life and love with a vibe that alternates between the celebratory country rock of Luke Combs, the nod-and-a-wink humor of Sturgill Simpson, and the rough-hewn folksiness of Donovan Woods.
Ella Vos debuts “Turbulence,” title track from forthcoming second album
“‘Turbulence’ is about welcoming the ups and downs of life. By acknowledging that we are constantly in flux and that change is inevitable, we can embrace it instead of resisting,” Vos says of the song. “The last couple years have been a whirlwind of change for me—becoming a mother, fighting cancer and divorce. I’ve learned that turbulence is what I make of it, my greatest fear or my surprising guide.”

Los Angeles based pop up and comer iamnotshane today announces himself in rare fashion with the reveal of his brand new self titled EP, his first via indie tastemakers Avant Garden/ Island Records. Featuring focus single Right Now, the body of work serves as a compelling introduction to an artist who combines dancefloor ready beats and stand out vocals to create a package bristling with originality and charm. Speaking on the release, iamnotshane states:

KEVIN GARRETT DROPS NEW EP MADE UP LOST TIME
Pittsburgh-born and GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Kevin Garrett drops new EP Made Up Lost Time today!
Kevin said of the EP, “I made this with the intention of getting past parts of me I thought were problems due to other people’s expectations. I ended up embracing those parts. It’s important to live deliberately, such that the idea of lost time is not real, made up.”
David Baldwin, formerly of The Dig, returns as Creature of Doom and his debut EP, Tears of Joy, is out now!
“I always wanted this project to sound like a funk band playing in a dungeon, and to me ‘Elephant In The Room’ encapsulates that sound as much as any song on the EP. This is a song where the lyrics came spontaneously and I tried to figure out what they meant after the fact. What exactly the elephant in the room is I imagine could be different for everyone. Could be something from your past that’s always right there in the back of your mind. Or a saboteur that lurks in your subconscious, waiting to fuck things up. I picture the end of the song as a struggle between the realization that the elephant in the room is all in your head, and the fact that it’s still there all the same, pummeling away in the background.” David Baldwin

Folk-Rock Artist Anthony da Costa Shares Next Single From Forthcoming LP
Singing the chorus of “Runaway” in his head, Anthony da Costa knew there was something special in those lyrics: “I won’t go baby, if you don’t go…I’ll never be a runaway.” da Costa had always been a hopeless romantic, yet he had been completely shut off from commitment. Even nowadays, he’s the type of man to wear his heart on his sleeves and put everything on the line for his love. In his own words: “This song (“Runaway”) has been a feature of my live show for many years, and I’ve always wanted to find it a place on one of my records. It seems to connect with folks – that feeling of true, helpless love… the notion that you’d do anything for someone.”

Watch The Gloomies’ new video for “Nightlight” via Backseat Mafia
Regarding the video, Andy from The Gloomies stated: “Nightlight came from a time in my life when I had incredibly bad insomnia. The band and I would be up all night long recording and messing around on new songs. This was happening over the course of months, and everything started to sort of blur together. This song is about that state and how it feels to become lost in that haze.”
