Pool Cosby Share “Day Breaks (feat. Ivy Sole)” via mxdwn
NYC-based electronic trio, Pool Cosby, start off the new year with a brand new single titled, “Day Breaks.” The track features vocals from Philly’s own Ivy Sole. It was premiered last week with mxdwn.

DEREK SANDERS (OF MAYDAY PARADE) SHARES NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR “BUT LAUREN”
“But Lauren” also carries special hometown significance. The track was originally recorded by Sanders’ favorite local band, Goodbye Love. The group was the brainchild of Mike Hanson, who had been in several Tallahassee bands throughout the years, including a hardcore act that captured Sanders’ attention as a pre-teen. As Mayday Parade grew out of Tallahassee, Sanders spoke to Hanson a few times, sharing that his songs were always a major source of inspiration to him. Once he recorded his own “But Lauren” cover, it only made sense for him to get Hanson’s opinion. “He was actually the one to say, ‘This is great, you should put this out somehow.’ That was when I started thinking about what other songs would be fun to cover [for the EP],” he says. My Rock and Roll Heart is not only a chance for Sanders to cover a song by one of his heroes, but also a way to expose people to “But Lauren” for the first time. “This was before the internet, and Mike never really broke out of Tallahassee. It’s such a shame his music never had a chance to do more than it did, and it’s cool that people will be able to hear it through me,” he adds.

I Break Horses Share New Track “I’ll Be The Death Of You”
The video was directed by Douglas Hart, who has created videos for the likes of My Bloody Valentine, The Horrors, The Libertines, Primal Scream and many more. Of the video Hart says: “With a song so beautifully arranged and musically textured, the video needed to mirror this by using extremes of color and light to underscore the sound. Also musically the song has an epic quality… So the dramatic locations were chosen to match the scope of the arrangement.”
King Princess debuts “Ohio” + video

Circa Waves today unveil the video for “Sad Happy”, the eponymous first single from the Sad side of their forthcoming album Sad Happy (release on March 13, 2020). A banging, soulful track that drives along strummed chords and keyboard riffs, it’s another example of Kieran Shudall’s ever developing songwriting, perfectly encapsulating the uptempo yet emotional tensions that cut right to the heart of the album Sad Happy. The video is directed by fast rising duo Bousher & Gee, and sees Shudall in the middle of a One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest-esque nightmare. Cutting between performance footage and the story of Schudall’s descent as one of a group of heartbroken clowns going through increasing twisted therapy sessions, the video tracks his hellish inner turmoil and the brutal ‘treatment’ that eventually leads him to the point of no return.
