GUEST SINGER release synth-pop cut ‘Think Face’ on HEIST OR HIT | announce ‘Limbo Days’ EP
Guest Singer announce sophomore EP ‘Limbo Days’ with new single ‘Think Face’, released via tastemaker label Heist or Hit (Her’s, Pizzagirl, Nature TV) on January 14th.
A luscious, sprightly synth-pop cut it follows recent downer-anthem ‘FOMO’ in ushering a new era for the Doncaster based trio, led by sardonic frontman Jake Cope. A Lynch-esque murkiness inhabits their world. They dexterously peel back the façade of the everyday to reveal the eerie in the intimately familiar. Taut pop hooks, glitchy bass lines, new wave guitar stabs and electronic dance are soaked in the combustible elegance of Cope’s delivery.

The song represents the liberating feeling of opening up to the world; the alignment of ideas, motivation and energy and that rare but illuminating experience of feeling inspired.

Especially when it happens again and again. I guess rejection is one of the things we all fear the most. But I also wanted this song to feel a bit encouraging despite the theme. A reminder to not take it to personally. All of us get hurt. And it’s ok. You’re ok.
The Allman Brothers Band’s 50th Anniversary Celebrated
When Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, Dickey Betts, Duane Allman, Jaimoe, and Gregg Allman finally coalesced in 1969 as The Allman Brothers Band, after stints in other bands and musical endeavors – some alone, some with each other – the group’s very first informal jam together was the stomping Muddy Waters song, “Trouble No More.” Almost immediately the six musicians knew they were on to something special. Shortly after, it also became the very first song they officially demoed together for their eponymous debut record, an album that would begin their legendary, unparalleled, and often times, turbulent journey as one of the best American rock bands to ever exist.

Tengger Cavalry Guitarist PAT REILLY Reveals Video for “Dracarys”
“The creation of this album was set in motion largely a result of a conversation that Nature and I had,” REILLY says. “Nature called me up one day early last year for the purpose of telling me that if I put out a full-length album, he would pay for half of the costs and release it under his label. Although I had always wanted to put out an album, I never really mustered up the drive or motivation to go through the process. It almost felt out of reach since I was basically on my own as a solo artist. This conversation with Nature really lit a fire under me, sending me into creative overdrive.”
