“Numb” was inspired by not being inspired; a paradoxical song that is about wanting to live without what gives you passion. A track about pushing through and continuing to move forward. Throughout the track, Cayey Cicada brings in funk rhythm guitars to help the groove and ease the message while symbolically using the brass melodies to describe the notion of opening a door to an unnamed victory – towards the light at the end of the tunnel
