Spider Rockets distribute the official music video “The Storm”

From the swampy circles of the murky New Jersey music scene rises Spider Rockets – a rock band that channels the timeless spirit of trailblazing bands like Aerosmith and GNR, with the modern flare of current contemporaries like Foo Fighters and Volbeat. Lead singer, Helena Cos, spews snarling and unapologetic commentary with whipping vocals that could crack the smile right off a prowling hyena. Guitars come courtesy of Johnny Nap who drives freight loads of raunchy rhythm and mean groove while knocking out hook after hook at the rate of Riffs=mc2, and whose leads fail to waste one single note. Dan Prestup’s tempestuous force behind the kit is the elixir that completes this musical alchemy.

Prestup is rumored to have once sold his soul to win top honors in the World’s Fastest Drummer competition at a semiannual NAMM show, earning top honors in the Fastest Feet category.

Spider Rockets has carved out a fierce niche in the rock scene with critically acclaimed albums and a growing presence on rock radio. Their latest release, Dirty and Bad, earned Top 10 Adds at SMR and charted in the Top 65 on SMR and Top 80 on Mediabase as well as a strong showing across metal, and college radio.

Their battle cry single, “Going Down,” packed enough punch to be picked up by WWE as both the walk-out and victory anthem for 14-time women’s world champion, Charlotte Flair. The band’s official music videos — including “Monster of Your Dreams,” “Casual Violence,” “Going Down,” and “Rip Your Heart Out” — have earned over three million views on YouTube and multiple top honors from film festivals.

The band has had the privilege of touring with the likes of Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, Framing Hanley, Trapt, Saving Abel, Pop Evil, and OTEP. Their resume also includes performances alongside members of Guns & Roses, Papa Roach, and Steel Panther, and appearances at Vans Warped Tour and Germany’s Popcomm, among other music festivals.

Maybe there’s nothing that differentiates Spider Rockets from every other nasty, grinding, rock and roll pounding powerhouse out there, except perhaps their uncanny ability to win over unsuspecting crowds with their no-nonsense delivery and visceral call to arms.

ABOUT “THE STORM”:

For “The Storm,” we wanted to create something that captures what it feels like when you’re caught in something you can’t simply shut off or walk away from. The video opens with an approaching tornado, rain and lightning, setting the band inside a dark, volatile world where the storm feels both very real and like something much deeper.

The performance is raw and intense, surrounded by darkness, smoke, shifting shadows and flashes of light. There’s a feeling of isolation running through it, even with the band performing together — that sense of being inside your own storm while everything continues around you.

But “The Storm” isn’t just about being consumed by that darkness. There’s something on the other side of it. We wanted the video to carry that idea without explaining it too much or telling people exactly what the storm is supposed to represent. Everyone has their own version of it, and we’d rather leave some of that for the viewer to discover.

Spider Rockets continue to push ‘Dirty and Bad’ forward with “The Storm,” the fourth music video released from the album, following previous music videos for “Casual Violence,” “Monster of Your Dreams” and the album’s title track, “Dirty and Bad.”

The album made an impact at radio, earning Top 10 Adds at SMR and charting Top 65 at SMR and Top 80 at Mediabase, along with a strong showing across metal and college radio.
