Hamburg-based trio Seasurfer continue to strengthen their position within the alternative music landscape with The Noise Is Ours, a four-track EP that expands their established “dream-punk” aesthetic through immersive guitar work, expansive distortion and restrained, intimate vocals. Following June’s Angels EP, the release signals a productive new chapter for the band while coinciding with their return to live performance.
Lead single ‘Flurry Glory’ encapsulates Seasurfer’s ability to balance scale with vulnerability. Warm, breathy vocals sit against layered, echoed guitars and driving drums, creating a dense yet atmospheric sound that draws from shoegaze, post-punk, darkwave and alternative rock. The production gives the track considerable sonic weight without losing its melodic focus, reinforcing the band’s distinctive position between dream-pop delicacy and heavier guitar music.
