Berlin-based singer-songwriter Oskar Brandt arrives with Now or Never, a cinematic slice of orchestral pop that pairs intimate songwriting with a widescreen sense of ambition. Built around sweeping piano, expressive strings and rich layers of instrumentation, the track finds its impact in the contrast between vulnerability and scale.
There’s a theatrical edge to Brandt’s approach, drawing from the emotional weight of film scores and musical theatre while retaining a contemporary pop sensibility. Now or Never centres on a relationship caught in the tension between personal struggle and the possibility of reconciliation, with Brandt keeping the emotion deliberately unresolved. His soft, assured vocals provide the anchor as the production gradually expands around him.
