Legendary musician Alan Mair, best known as a founding member of the iconic rock band The Only Ones, returns with an exciting new chapter in his solo career. On 3rd August 2026, Mair will release his brand-new album, “FIELD OF ONE”, alongside its powerful lead single, “HOW COULD I LET THIS HAPPEN.”
The album, “FIELD OF ONE”, continues Mair’s fearless approach to songwriting, blending emotional storytelling with richly textured instrumentation and his unmistakable alternative rock sound. All twelve songs are written by Mair that cover all the trials and tribulations of life itself, and he plays all the instrumentation with the exception of lead guitar by the amazing Zal Cleminson and keyboards on highlighted tracks played by Paul Rabigar.
Written, sung and produced entirely by Alan Mair, the single is an intensely personal piece of alternative rock that combines hypnotic rhythms with a cinematic atmosphere reminiscent of a David Lynch soundtrack.
