Blending Roots Rock with the raw attitude of Cow Punk, “Hanging Tree” explores theme of the history of the famous Hanging Trees in the Wild West. Produced by Dave Catching (Queens Of The Stone Age/Eagles Of Death Metal/Arctic Monkeys) and recorded at the famous Rancho De La Luna studio in Joshua Tree, CA, Joey Castillo (Queens Of The Stone Age/Eagles Of Death Metal/Zakk Sabbath/Circle Jerks) is manhandling the drums. The track marks a bold step forward for Brian following the success of his previous two 2025 releases, Great Big Sky and his EP Love Songs?
“My friend Rich Stanley who actually gave me my first guitar endorsement when he worked for Vaccaro Guitars out of Asbury Park, NJ sent me the song and said “see what you can do with it”. So I changed some things and gave it more of a Cow Punk vibe kind of evoking that energy you want when your partying, working out or just driving around! This track is special to me”, says Brian, “It’s a burner that I got to co-write with a long time friend and I can’t wait for listeners to experience this new sonic chapter.”
