The Car Stickers Branding in Dubai

Many people want interesting stickers for their cars, but bans stop them. Most stickers require permission from a special commission, which determines whether the sticker is an obstacle to traffic. However, there are exceptions. Let’s talk about the types of stickers, permissions for them, fines, and other subtleties.

When can you put stickers on your car?

According to traffic regulations, the chauffeur cannot drive a malfunctioning vehicle. One malfunction is a decrease in visibility from the chauffeur’s seat. Any unnecessary objects or stickers can become an obstacle. The only exception is for transparent tinting film on the windows. But this means stickers are allowed if they do not block the view.

Important! The light transmittance of the glass through which the chauffeur’s forward visibility is ensured must be at least 70%. The stickers must not cover more than 30% of the window space.

Now let’s take a quick look at the different types of stickers on your car so that you can clearly understand where you can stick something and where you can’t:

  • Windshield. Any extraneous photos are prohibited, as they will block the chauffeur’s view. Only darkening stripes no wider than 140 mm are allowed;

  • Side windows. Installing extraneous coverings on the front windows is forbidden, as they are part of the visibility zone that must be preserved for the chauffeur. It is permitted to stick photos on the rear side windows if the car has rear-view mirrors;

  • External lighting devices. Car lights cannot be changed in any way. Stickers on them are completely prohibited. If an inspector finds something like this, the chauffeur will receive a fine of 500 rubles;

  • Body. Theoretically, you can stick any photos, but you can’t distort the car’s main color. If this happens because the sticker is too big, you must register the color change.

In most cases, you will also have to get the executive committee’s approval. In road traffic, participation in a vehicle with visible stickers applied to its outside is prohibited. However, if the sticker does not violate the above mentioned rules, it will be approved since it will not threaten road safety.

Some people prefer not to agree on stickers in advance but order stickers on magnetic vinyl. The traffic police easily remove them at their first request, and they will most likely not issue a fine for the first time.

Fines for unauthorized posting of photos

As mentioned, pasting light devices is punishable by a fine of 500 rubles. If the inspector stops the car for inspection and does not find permission to paste the car, he can issue a fine. And each time, its size will increase.

Interestingly, posting symbols of currently banned social networks (including a popular photo app) can result in a fine of up to 2,000 rubles and even administrative arrest.

Types of car stickers

All existing stickers can be divided into two groups: mandatory and optional. The former must be placed on the car according to strict rules. For example, the popular “Novice chauffeur” sign must look like a yellow and black triangle with a black stripe. There are few standardized sizes that cannot be considered as violation. The same applies to the designations “training car,” “deaf chauffeur,” and others.

Optional stickers are not only decorative elements but also informational icons. They can be “child in a car,” “woman chauffeur,” or other icons. They are not mandatory, although they can be placed next to mandatory ones (or in place of mandatory ones if there are none). The standard size of such a sticker is 15×15 cm.

  • advertising (except for tobacco, alcoholic products, beer drinks, low-alcohol products);

  • identification marks, the placement of which is prescribed by law;

  • vehicle owner details, trademark;

  • an advertisement offering to purchase this particular car.

In addition, photos are completely prohibited. You will not be approved for stickers with photos that violate public norms (naked people, swear words, calls for violence), photos of symbols of terror sentences are banned in Dubai, or insults to individuals or groups of people (including traffic police officers).

As you can see, there are no special restrictions on pop up display stands and small stickers, so you can safely order them for car advertising of your products. Today, car branding and wrapping is very popular and allows you to promote your product without much expense. The main thing is to approach the task wisely; then, there will be no problems with stickers on the windows.
