How are you doing today and are you excited for the warm weather in New England?
Yes! Definitely been waiting for things to heat up and move into our summertime agenda of rocking all over Cape Cod, Ma.
Would you say that you are more creative in regards to music in the warm or cold months?
Creativity comes at anytime that you’re feeling it. There’s no set rule or time when writing happens. Whenever a feeling hits you , then that’s the time.
Growing up was music a big part in your home and what artists / bands were always playing?
Growing up in the 70’s ,and beyond, the bands were the classic rock bands playing. Aerosmith, The Who, Grateful Dead, Santana, Simon and Garfunkel. Steely Dan, Beatles, America etc. It’s just too many to list.
When did you and your brother decide to create The Grab Brothers Band and did you share similar tastes in music?
The Grab Brothers were eventually created in 1986 but played in other bands before.
We always liked the same music and discovered we can actually work together without too many disagreements.
Have your parents been supportive of your music ambitions and do they like your songs?
They loved our songs and would support our music in their own way. Always encouraging us to do what you love but finish college first!
You have a massive catalog of music – what are 2 songs that really stand out to you and why?
Moona and Whatever Baby Wants
Moona is a newer song of ours and it just has a great vibe and brings us to a happy, feel good mood. Gets everyone moving to the Moona.
Whatever Baby Wants is our pop rock music style. Easy to sing along too and now we use it as a birthday song for unsuspecting victims.
You are constantly playing live gigs – what can someone expect from a Grab Brothers Band live show?
The unexpected! Lots of mistakes and we come with the best reality that we’re all human. lots of joy and smiles always follow us at every event.
You have been in music from the analog age to now into digital, how have you taken advantage of the new technology from streaming to social media to retain and attract new fans?
We still haven’t caught up. But digital is way easier to work with now. We still stay true to our music and play the real instruments. Social media we are behind but starting to learn and come around with all the new platforms. Mostly it’s our intensive live playing that attracts our growing fans and keeps us going,
When you are not making music what else do you have going on that you enjoy?
Doing nothing! Absolutely nothing and just relax .. so ya. Be the best Bum With Binoculaz that you can be.
What is coming up for The Grab Brothers Band and where can we follow and stream your music?
We’re working on a new CD and Videos. We will be looking to do more venues that are geared for Original shows. Expanding our social media and music through Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook and all that is possible to help bring the Grab Brothers to the World!
