Joe Marcinek Band with ‘1 River Street’

Joe Marcinek Band with ‘1 River Street’

Joe Marcinek Band is off to the races with its 9th release titled ‘1 River Street’.  As a widely-known touring act, Joe Marcinek Band rarely keeps the same members intact more than once.  It is never a dull moment for this ever-changing group that is always evolving.  The next step in this evolution is ‘1 River Street’ that is sure to please the most avid listeners from around the globe.  Offering an array of elements, Joe Marcinek Band invites the audience to experience jazzy, funky fusion like you’ve never heard before.

The record features Joe Marcinek on guitar, Nate Edgar on bass guitar, Kris Yunker on keyboards, Alan Evans on drums, Brian Thomas on trombone, Alex-Lee Clark on trumpet and Jared Sims on saxophone & flute.  ‘1 River Street’ was produced by Alan Evans and released through Vintage League Music.  Overall, these musicians had the creative juices flowing from start to finish on ‘1 River Street’.

The album kicks off with a song titled “Soul’D” and right away, one will witness a funky groove that puts the listener in a good head spance.  “Soul’D” has the instrumentation on point and fine-tuned while Joe Marcinek Band provides a wide range of flavorful notes.  Next, it’s time for “Carma” where some reggae influence is hitting your eardrums.  Joe Marcinek Band is delivering a positive punch of sound that ignites your senses on “Carma”.  Track three, “85’d”, is a fun-filled production and one jumpin’ ‘n’ jivin’ joint.  I am feelin’ the groove on “85’d” as Joe Marcinek Band is locked in and in the zone.  An excellent performance can be heard on the following number called “Be Lone” where Joe Marcinek Band is bringin’ the goods and not holdin’ back.  There is nothing prehistoric-sounding about the next song, “Hawaiian Dinosaur” but it does have a bit of an easy-breezy, island feel.  A big, bold sound is roaming the airwaves and “Hawaiian Dinosaur” is heading your way.  Track six, “Ola Ola”, showcases one stellar set by Joe Marcinek Band where the entire band is just killin’ it.  I would like to also point out the horns on “Ola Ola” that really shined through and made quite an impact on the listener.  I was diggin’ this tune “Ola Ola” from beginning to end that made for one enjoyable listening experience.  We head into “Look Into You” now where a smooth style and perfect rhythm takes over your airspace.  I have to say that Joe Marcinek Band is going out with a bang on “In Memory of Iron Wax” where everyone is coming together nicely.  I would also like to add that “In Memory of Iron Wax” is an awesome closer and one fantastic finish by Joe Marcinek Band.

I am thoroughly impressed with the overall efforts here as Joe Marcinek Band is sounding like a million bucks on ‘1 River Street’.  Joe Marcinek Band blends together different elements & genres together brilliantly proving that music is universal and wide open.  Let’s all come together and celebrate the sweet sounds of Joe Marcinek Band and the brand new release ‘1 River Street’.  This album is worthy of major airplay and recognition, so give ‘1 River Street’ a spin; you won’t regret it!
