DJ SKILLMASTER “TIME TO SAY GOODBYE” (NOVATION MIX) & (NOVATION EXTENDED MIX)

CAPP Records is pleased to bring you a captivating new release, Time to Say Goodbye, from UK-based DJ, producer, songwriter, and vocalist, DJ Skillmaster! For years, Skillmaster has worked closely with his good friend and collaborator Mark Gamble, writing original songs straight from the heart (Summertime, Holding On), as well as creating and releasing some amazing cover tracks (including She Drives Me Crazy). Along the way, he’s worked with some of EDM’s greatest producers on remixes of the tracks, including DJs from Mars, Dany Wild, and Andrew Spencer, among others. Now, this dream team is back with a charismatic new original track!

DJ Skillmaster and CAPP Records present Time to Say Goodbye in a powerful, 12-track release package that includes six radio mixes, and six extended club mixes. Spanning multiple genres from rousing house, modern filter-house, trance-progressive to downtempo chillhop, and ending in funky nu-disco, Skillmaster’s catchy lead vocals pair perfectly with a range of compelling rhythms.

The package leads with the Gamble mix, which steers the track in a distinctly 90’s vibe-house direction, with its classic beats and a rich, sophisticated arrangement. The Steely M. & Cary August mix brings together two CAPP veterans, producing a brilliant modern filter-house remix that brings an energetic but carefree feel to Time to Say Goodbye, while allowing the song’s

heartfelt message to shine through. The Brooster mix takes the song in a more energetic direction, with a faster-paced club house remix treatment, set against a backdrop of solid, modern beats. One of CAPP’s premier producers, Peter Agyagos, steers the track in yet another direction, with a trance-meets-progressive -house treatment that introduces strong, slap bass rhythms paired with crisp synth treatments. Finally, Novation brings a relaxed, and decidedly downtempo chillhop treatment to the song, with a mix that conjures-up a mental image of sand, sunshine, and the sound of gentle ocean waves at sunset. In the track’s original version, DJ Skillmaster applies a nu-disco arrangement to his own track, featuring a funky bassline, groovy lead guitar, and strong synth lines, giving the track a retro twist.
