Rob Lalain with ‘Life’

Rob Lalain breathes new ‘Life’ into the airwaves and it is a breath of fresh air to say the least. This new album is a highly-anticipated release and follow up to the critically acclaimed ‘Back to the Start’ album. With 14 original songs, the material is both reflective and personal touching on all aspects of ‘Life’.

Rob Lalain is a self-taught musician and has been writing songs since he was a kid. With The Beatles being a major influence, Lalain has evolved into a top-notch singer/songwriter. Rob Lalain has a gift for being able to dig deep and tell a story through well-composed songs. These skills are put to the test on his latest release and in the end, ‘Life’ finds a way into our minds, bodies & spirits.

The record starts up with a track titled “Coming Home” that does feel welcoming and invites the listeners in to enjoy the sounds. There is an unstable delivery in place on “Coming Home” and this matches the overall tone and feel of the song. Everything is in question and the uncertainty is in the air on “Coming Home”. This is one intriguing mix that will weigh heavy on your ears and will have you singing along to the catchy chorus “I’m Coming Home”. Next, brace yourselves for an infectious groove on “Bulletproof (Featuring Sean Weyers)” where this song grabs you right from the start and doesn’t let go. Rob Lalain certainly hits a bullseye with “Bulletproof” as he is aiming straight for the top. You can also SKOPE out the official music video for “Bulletproof” right here:

Next, “Roses In The Rain” sets the mood right out of the gates with the calming effect of rain drops pouring out of your speakers. Soak it all in and prepare to wake up and hear the “Roses In the Rain” from start to finish. Enter a warped reality and pure musical mayhem on the following number titled “You Ain’t The One (Featuring Sean Weyers)”. This song can best be described as an alternate universe that will give your ears quite a jolt. Rob Lalain will have your eardrums going “Up & Down” all day long as this lively song provides a strong ‘n’ steady pace. Next, it’s time to step up to the plate and just embrace “The End of Time” in all its glory. Distinct and bold notes are rattling your eardrums on “The End of Time” as Rob Lalain delivers a powerful performance. Lalain has a big hit on his hands that is “Out Of Here” and I have to say that this is one buzzworthy cut. Next, Rob Lalain invites us ALL to just listen up and “Believe” in the direction and message. If you “Believe” what Lalain has to say here, then the rest is history. Track nine, “A Life Without Goodbyes”, is an emotional number and offers meaningful material that has much impact on the listener. The listener will have no regrets after listening to “A Life Without Goodbyes” because everything makes sense and is worthy of attention. Rob Lalain supplies sharp lyrics that cut like a knife on the following number called “Nothing Can Bring You Down”. A draggy, dreamy state fills the airwaves on “Nothing Can Bring You Down” as it enters your psyche and allows for a brief escape from your regular routine. On “This Time”, Rob Lalain encourages people to take advantage of every second and don’t let a minute go by without trying to reach for the stars. “This Time” is certainly on your side with words to live by coming from Rob Lalain. Track 12, “Never Going To Walk Away From You”, has a killer vibe and rebel-rousin’ riffs that will excite your senses and light up your musical palette. Memories are played out in real time on “I Remember” where Lalain invites us all to take a trip down memory lane. Rob Lalain ends the record with the title track and urges listeners to live “Life” to the fullest. Don’t let “Life” pass you by and savor all the precious moments is the message being relayed here for all to hear.

I am thoroughly impressed with Rob Lalain’s efforts on ‘Life’ proving that he is a real force to be reckoned with. Lalain is a talented musician and lyricist who speaks from the heart and connects with his audience on many levels. Rob Lalain has given us this new ‘Life’ that we can now add to our playlists and appreciate all the simple things. It’s time to rejuvenate your ears and enjoy a little slice of ‘Life’ by Rob Lalain.
