Q&A: Kelsey Hart On ‘Life With You’, Touring And His Current Inspirations
Hi Kelsey, what have you been up to?
Hey y’all! The last six months for me have been full of radio tour, live shows, and the album release. It has been a busy and exciting time for sure.
How did you originally get into music?
I originally got into music through singing in church and listening to gospel music in my dad’s truck as a kid. I was in a hometown band with some buddies in my early 20s.
Who were your favourite artists growing up?
My favorite artists growing up were the Bellamy Brothers, Blake Shelton, and Jake Owen. I also listened to a lot of rock music like Creed and Three Days Grace.
How do you hope your new album “Life With You” will connect with your fans on a personal level?
I hope that fans are finding songs on the record to personally connect to and I hope they are enjoying listening to all the others as country music fans!
Do you have any personal favourites on “Life With You”, and why?
My personal favorite is the title track Life With You. It’s a song inspired by and written about my wife and our life together. It was our first dance song at our wedding and it will always make this album really special to us.
What’s on your current playlist?
This week it’s been Post Malone, Drew Parker, Bellamy Brothers, Eric Church, and Hardy!
If you could play just one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love this record and will be proud to play any of the songs for the rest of my life.
What do you hope to achieve with “Life With You” in terms of your career?
I hope it is a launching pad to get my career started. I look forward to many more years of doing what I love; creating and performing country music.
