If you’re expecting to hear native American rain dance music from Invinceable (featuring Too $hort and Roman Musiq), you may be disappointed. This could show you might not be entirely up on strip club lingo because this song is about throwing dollar bills at exotic dancers, and the rain that’s falling is American currency. The track is rap music, and songs about strip clubs are familiar genre territory within this genre. It’s a striking recording, so long as you know what you’re getting into.
Naturally, the accompanying video is set in a gentleman’s club. In this case, it’s a venue called Angels Cabaret. This clip has a sci-fi vibe to it, too, because as our main character enters the club, and the lights start flickering before a robotic-voiced woman welcomes him to the joint. It’s then that we’re introduced to the girls at the club as Invinceable announces how ‘We’re gonna make it rain.’ It’s then that the viewer is treated to views of various attractive women dancing seductively.
The song’s instrumentation is – no pun intended – stripped down. It’s mainly a keyboard-y groove, over which the rappers rap. Lyrically, the words to this song are also relatively simple. It’s the conversational sound of what guys say (or at least think) while they’re watching girls dance. The more they like what they see, the more dollar bills they ‘rain’ on them.
It goes without saying, this is not exactly a feminist anthem. On it, girls are referred to as bitches, for instance, and they are seemingly only there to be eye candy for men. If you’re opposed to the objectification of women, this song and video is not recommended for you. Also, if you have spiritual issues with looking upon women with lust, this is not, shall we say, a video that will aid you in your spiritual growth.
With that said, though, this is a song and video that is a part of a culture. These visuals are all too common in hip hop videos. These artists and their fans have come to expect relatively explicit music videos. So, rating it on that scale, the girls are pretty, dance well, and the rapping men do a good job of replicating the whole club atmosphere. In addition to women and money, there are also bottles of expensive booze in some of these shots.
Toward the video’s end, there is a section where a girl is dancing with what looks like red raindrops falling. Therefore, there is also some actual rain – not just the metaphorical type – in this clip.

Once again, this song and its promotional video are not complicated. Instead, it follows the old adage of giving the people what they want. Those that listen to this style of music likely buy into its culture. It’s not for everyone, as the whole strip club atmosphere is a far cry from being politically correct. However, as for being realistic and believable, this single is the real deal. No matter how you feel about the adult business, it’s not going away anytime soon. Hip hop has embraced this entertainment medium, and this release skillfully brings these two likely bedfellows together well.
