Grammy Award-Winning Producer Swizz Beatz Releases New Video “Say Less”

Country Newcomer Dan Reardon Releases Reimagined Single “Heaven”

“Heaven is actually a re-cut of a song I wrote a long time ago about a girl that I was falling in love with. Living by the water at the time, I felt inspired to sit by the beach and write about deep feelings and emotions while looking out at the steady water. It was therapeutic at the time and although it was written from a personal perspective, I think it will relate to many listeners on their personal journeys of love and relationships,” tells Reardon. “I decided to re-cut the song as it was always well-received by close friends and family members at the time, and people praised the melodic hooks, lyrics and feel-good vibes. Although the song has since morphed, I think it’s better than ever and can’t wait for y’all to hear it!”

Alan Palomo, the auteur musician/producer behind the long-running avant pop project Neon Indian, has shared “Nudista Mundial ’89,” his first release under his own name. Palomo brought the song to fruition at Mac Demarco’s studio (who also features on the recording) upon learning that he had some key pieces of gear that would help manifest the sun-bleached, funky electro-pop earworm. “While working on a few tunes, I was trying to get a hold of this certain piano,” Palomo explains. “My keyboard player told me Mac had one at his studio so I hit him up. And on one breezy day in May, we sang a duet about two guys going to a nude beach together in Ibiza.”

KAZIMI Announces Debut Album, Shares Single “River Run” via Americana UK | ‘River Run’ LP Out Later This Year

KAZIMI, a new indie-folk-pop project, released the single “River Run” today, the initial track from her debut album of the same name out later this year. The singer-songwriter who looks to nature’s cycles and seasons for guidance has chosen this date based on a cosmic occurrence that will be happening in the sky. When a planet passes within one degree of the Sun, it is called a cazimi, meaning the celestial body is “in the heart of the Sun.” This is said to bring good fortune and is the inspiration behind the project’s name. To ride this luck wave, KAZIMI released her first single on May 1st, the date of the next Mercury cazimi.

It is about the inner and outer connect and disconnect on the earthly plane, culminating with a tune about the Sixth Mass Extinction event being brought on by the uncontrollable spread of an “idea pathogen.” Sonically, Influence is a heavy but groovy psychedelic whirlwind. With big, sweeping, tom-heavy grooves and lush synthesizers, layered over nasty Rickenbacker bass tones and guitars alternately grimy and soaring, the sound is massive. It harkens a lot of things familiar but adds something new and fresh to the mix.
