UK Artist Paris Paloma Shares New Single “Notre Dame”

Inspired by a reverent afternoon spent in a great church, the song muses on the experience of being on the fringes of religion – and of faith. Paloma’s poetic lyricism does full justice to this weighty thought, and the mystical, ritual sense of the high church resonates throughout choral vocals and the purity of her voice.

New Versions Of LARRY WALLIS’s MOTÖRHEAD-esque Metal Anthem “LEATHER FOREVER” Hit The Road

Cleopatra Records announce the dynamic return of Larry Wallis, the legendary co-founder of Motörhead and a former member of UFO, in the shape of two dramatic fresh remixes of one of his most beloved compositions, the metal anthem “Leather Forever.”

A savage reminder of one of British metal’s true unsung heroes, “Leather Forever” spotlights not only the excoriating guitar that was Wallis’s trademark, but also the songwriting that underpinned the very best of early Motörhead. In fact, it’s not hard to imagine “Leather Forever” lining up alongside any of them. Talking a few years before his death in 2019, Larry remembered writing it “around the same time” that he was a member of Motörhead, before recording it in late 1977 as a possible follow-up to his solo hit “Police Car.”

Toronto’s Bernice have always been subject to their own distinct rhythms. Despite their periodic disappearances, Bernice’s albums have reliably provoked waves of startled excitement from both the press and their fellow musicians, with high praise coming from outlets like Pitchfork, NPR, Stereogum and the New York Times, and legendary artists like Beverly Glenn-Copeland, who described himself as “a down on my knees fan” of the band, saying “the vision is extraordinary and it’s musically so exciting.”

Unlearn & MP Shaw announce new collaborative LP, share first single “Dusting The Astral Plane”

“What might be the sound of an infectious bass groove battling with a broken speaker is a befitting description for what drives the rhythm of this eclectic track. Samples of an old television set and clinking glass bottles help along the way. The emotive beat and gratifying melody pass back and forth, trading friction and harmony, mirroring the fluster and spark of life on earth. At last we take off, traveling light upon an interstellar current and into deep space. The final act washes over us in a gentle wave of white noise, melodic tones scatter and converge as we float on across the outer reach, forever into the infinite.”
