Canada’s THE WRING Shares New Video “Sins” Off New Album “Spectra” Out Now! via WormHoleDeath Records
The Wring, hailing from Sudbury, Canada released their third album “Spectra” this past December via WormHoleDeath Records. It’s an assertive mix of different styles including hard rock, jazz, metal, classical, 80’s rock, and 70’s rock. Solo artist Don Dewulf brought the idea to a myriad of professional players that include Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats), vocalist Chandler Mogel, Canadian bass superstar Reggie Hache and sessions keyboardist Isamu McGregor to form the full-length. There is a wide range of influences that are apparent on the record with its vivid progressive sound that is tight, concise, and well-executed with interesting melody, rhythm, and lyrical themes.

Inger – a classically trained musician raised on Nordic folk songs but also influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush – already had ideas for her new album, Hibernation, pre-pandemic. A lot of the feelings she was addressing at the time seemed to accelerate with successive lockdowns. “The song sprung out from a feeling of being more and more trapped in a digital echo chamber,” she explains. “I started questioning my freedom of thought. During lockdown, it was like the bubble grew even thicker and expanded in every direction. It felt like an ‘everything-bubble’. It’s all out there, yet you still struggle to see clearly.”

Wintersong Music Festival has officially announced the headliners for their 4th edition, taking place January 20th – 21st, 2023 in Stouffville, ON. The annual festival draws thousands to the local area in the shoulder-season of Winter, giving a much-needed boost to the local economy.

The music also follows the moods of a wedding day: the sparse looped beat and stripped-back guitar establishing a nervy atmosphere, before sweeping violin and ethereal vocal harmonies evoke the elegance of the ceremony.

The Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) – Promoter of the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2023 – is thrilled to confirm that multiple Grammy nominated US rapper, Travis Scott, will perform at this year’s event taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 17th-19th March 2023.
The concert will take place on the Main Stage of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, F1®’s longest and fastest street circuit.
Recorded with Trevor Brooks (Ezra Furman, Art Moore), the ten magnetic tracks of Slightly Off Kilter encapsulate the ebb and flow of the new existence we have all adopted. Opening with the beautiful and vulnerable track “Madeline,” Spry’s forthright vocals and acoustic guitar are accompanied by lush sonic textures and Harrison-esque slide guitar licks. The ensuing tune “Cruel Dream,” driven by a thumping rhythm section, is a dark descent into the racing mind of a conflicted narrator, unsure of what is real, all tucked into a retro-inspired highway ride. “Rotten Mausoleum” bursts out of the starting gates with an anthemic arrangement of harmonized guitar lines and thunderous drums and crescendos into carefree indie rock.
