What first got you into music?

I started off writing poetry in class in Jamaica but really fell in love with rap music when my brother brought home the krs1’s and Heavy D and Hammer etc.

Who inspired you to make music?

I was just inspired by music. I loved every aspect of it. I was in the band. I was in chorus. I took keyboard lessons. I memorized lyrics of my favorite songs on the radio as a kid. Seeing Queen Latisha and Gwen stefani perform in concert will always be “it” for me though.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Well I would like to think I have grown and changed and continue to change musically everyday. I would like to classify myself as genre less or cross genre whichever makes sense. I’m a writer first so however the picture needs to be painted.

What is your creative process like?

I write in my head now so it’s usually in my car driving or I’ll fall asleep listening to beats and that one beat will wake me up. Then I create the story.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I would say Post Malone is one who comes to mind. Of coarse Justin Bieber. Chris Brown. Any of the Marleys.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Ziggy or Stephen Marley or Lauryn Hill

What is one message you would give to your fans?

Ding you. Stay you and Love you.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Working on building my clothing brand ( working)

Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?

Miami. Hollywood. Tampa. Don’t have any favs or least favs as yet

 How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

I’m on it way more. I’m a visual learner so it works for me. I can see who is listening. Who is interested. I can see numbers. What’s working and what isn’t. Before we did it blindly and relied on the big boys to tell us what to do and say.

What is your favourite song to perform? Back a Yawd Which famous musicians do you admire?

So many. The further I get the more respect I have for everyone who is putting in work.

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

I’m a good girl.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Keep going. Don’t be afraid to do it your way.What’s next for you? A lot. Keep grinding. Keep growing. Keep shining.
