Finally accepting the truth that they’ve always been better together and letting go of their fear, the track is an uplifting anthem, described as the musical equivalent of a street party. “Better!” also touches on the idea of not wasting time, as well as the underlying longing and frustration Meeking was feeling being separated from friends and family during lockdowns.

STONE AXE: new single “Fell On Deaf Ears” available

About ‘Stay of Execution’, STONE AXE founder and multi-instrumentalist Tony Reed says: “Stay of Execution is an album of unreleased recordings and tracks we like that were hidden in the grooves of vinyl that was released in very limited numbers with little or no promotion. All songs were recorded between 2008 and 2011 and cover a wide spectrum of styles in that seventies vein that we were known for. The musical concepts of proto-metal, southern rock, psychedelic rock, and folk rock are well explored in this collection. Seven of the eight tracks on the album feature the usual studio collaboration of Reed / Brinkerhoff, while the last song includes all four members of the live band. I feel like these tracks are as strong as anything on our other long players. It’s great to see them finally get released.”

keshi Heads to Malibu in “TOUCH” – The Dreamy & Romantic New Video Single Out Now

Sam Kogon Announces EP, Shares “Barbed Wire” Single via Brooklyn Vegan

Speaking on the track, Kogon wrote, “‘Barbed Wire’ is a song about accepting love, denying love, unrequited love, infatuation, and coming out of the closet. It’s inspired by two friends exchanging songs they write as coded love letters. One friend wants their love to come off the page and the other friend can only express their true feelings in song. Running away with or from someone who isn’t emotionally available can get you tangled in the barbed wire fences they put up at the first signs of vulnerability, so I chose that as the title of the song. The one friend trying to move forward is asking (rhetorically) ‘Is this love? Is this love? I need to know right now…and could you even tell me right now.’ They already know the answer: Sometimes there isn’t a happy ending or closure; sometimes we get burnt like tires, and that’s ok.”

GRAMMY® and BRIT-nominated producer/DJ/multi-instrumentalist Jax Jones reunites with GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter MNEK on the euphoric banger “Where Did You Go?” Paying tribute to the iconic genre Eurodance – which originated in the late 1980s and reflected a collective desire to have fun, party and be happy after a period of strife in Europe – “Where Did You Go?” reflects a similar mood for the world in 2022, with people desperate to feel joyous again and be able to celebrate with unity + togetherness.
