The Builders and The Butchers announces new LP on Badman due in May, shares first single “Stop The Rain”

The Builders and the Butchers were formed in the fall of 2005 in Portland, Oregon. The band’s first two years consisted of busking, playing house shows, and showing up unannounced anywhere around Portland where people were gathered. Folks began to take notice and the band transitioned slowly, going from playing on the floor of venues unplugged to gradually adding a mic here, an amp there, until they organically grew into one of the most exciting live acts in the Pacific Northwest. Even when plugged in, a cornerstone of almost every builders show is playing on the floor at some point during the set.

Alexa Swinton’s debut single ‘You, Me, and My Purple Docs’ will mark 11-year-old’s entry into music industry

Alexa Swinton, a multi-talented young actress best known for her co-starring role as Piper alongside Allison Tolman on ABC’s new drama series ‘Emergence’ is making her way into the music scene. The 11-year-old star is set to debut with her own music as a singer-songwriter, dropping the single ‘You, Me, and My Purple Docs’ this month. Pre-sales for the song began on July 15, 2020 and will be available to stream and purchase on Apple Music, Amazon Music and on all streaming platforms on July 30.



“Broken” also comes accompanied by a music video directed by Jack Turner and produced by Blood Films. Speaking about the new single, Templeman says: “It’s a bit of an anthem for people my age really, all the wobbles of being a teenager and figuring yourself out. It’s about realising that analysing yourself is an important part of growing up.”

Homeschool (fka Active Bird Community) Shares “Wino”

Today, Homeschool returns with a new single entitled “Wino,” along with an accompanying music video. Tom D’Agustino’s solo project Homeschool began after the dissolution of his former band, Active Bird Community. This year, he will share an EP entitled Homeschool: Book II, a follow-up to his debut 4-track EP, Homeschool: Book I, which includes breakout single “Smartest Man (ft. Samia),” in addition to a remix of the track, “Smartest Man (ft. Arlissa) – Bartees Strange Remix.”
