OUT TODAY: Debut Album from Brussels-Based, Audio-Visual Project, 22 for Silicon Alone Premiering on V13
Creator and central songwriter/composer/producer/director, Alexis Pfrimmer, was looking for a name to encapsulate this project, and he stumbled upon those four words ’22 for Silicon Alone’ on NASA’s official website; it was only fitting for the spacey and ethereal aesthetic of the music. Pfrimmer has collaborated with a number of artists on the experimental project, such as producer Floriane Desperier, as well as a number of violinists, saxophonists, pianists, and artists. After studying at two audiovisual schools, Pfrimmer was inspired by his background of music, film, and scriptwriting, to craft Only Dark Matters, which incorporates an eclectic and other-worldly ambience that is sure to transport listeners to a cinema-like experience with a dreamy landscape and a palette of textures and ambiences.

Tooth and Claw (Earth Crisis, Sect, Magnitude) release debut LP ‘Dream of Ascension’
Metallic hardcore group Tooth and Claw released their debut full-length Dream of Ascension today via Good Fight Music. The relatively new group of veteran musicians formed just last year to delve into new avenues of aggression, while mixing hardcore and death metal. The Wandering Hearts had already enjoyed the phenomenal experience of recording their second album deep in the Catskills with producers Simone Felice and David Baron, but their adventure would be extended with another remarkable chapter. They met up with the legendary Marty Stuart (a five-time Grammy Award winner and a former member of Johnny Cash’s band) in Nashville, who offered them “Dreams,” a song he had written with his wife, the country star Connie Smith. They then headed to the iconic Cash Cabin in Hendersonville, where he joined the band, playing mandolin and guitar on the record. It was fortunate timing, as COVID-19 halted all international travel just a few days later.
