Heartour, the solo project of ex-The Ruse member Jason Young, continued his return to his long-standing solo project with the premiere of “When The Lights Go Down” on Jammerzine ahead of his new EP, Divert The Asteroid, next month.

LA-based neo-soul / alt-R&B artist Gabrielle Current releases her spellbinding Virgo EP and lush new single “Serenity” today. A penchant for dreamy synths and soft jazz-infused melodies, the Filipino-Korean-Swedish and American singer-songwriter’s debut collection is littered with metaphors and poetic structure.
For the first year, live shows for Snacks Chapman were like games of musical chairs where between songs, members would trade positions. “We’d all switch off and we were all pretty good at everything. But it felt like a novelty and I really wasn’t good at playing drums at all,” says guitarist Ian Lozinski. Now, three years later, during a global pandemic, Snacks Chapman continues to evolve and release new music. Before the pandemic the band had an active live schedule in NYC playing venues like Alphaville, Coney Island Baby, Berlin, Bowery Electric, and many more.
“‘Cities Above’ is one of the few songs written when Redmoon still was an active band,” Arne explains. “It’s a song about once sweet love turning bitter. David plays the slide here, and provides some of the beautiful background vocals. The internationally acclaimed band he played in the nineties – The Merrymakers – is evidence enough of the Beatles likeness. Old Redmoon-member Åke Lindgren plays the drums on this one.”

Reggae Stars Alborosie and Collie Buddz Team Up For New Single “Ginal.”
“Ginal (featuring Collie Buddz)” is the kick-off single to the new Alborosie album, For The Culture, dropping on back-to-back Fridays. “Ginal,” is a Jamaican slang term to describe a trickster. The song is illustrated with cutting and humorous lyrics about people who talk too much (‘mouth ah massi’), that they will “smile inna yuh face an’ wah take yuh place.” To this reality, Alborosie sings “chattings run road like a Taxi / glued to my word like epoxy / no carry news / laba laba / me ah no foxy….” The digital single for “Ginal” is released May 28th.
