PAYDAY Releases P.U.K.E. Tapes Vol. 3 And Official Music Video For ‘Cry’
Today, PAYDAY releases ‘P.U.K.E. Tapes Vol. 3’, the latest bombastic installment from her popular ‘P.U.K.E. Tapes series, the first two of which debuted in the summer of 2020, thus putting PAYDAY firmly on the map as one-to-watch. Also out today, the official music video for the EP’s focus track, “Cry.” Written and conceptualized by PAYDAY, the video explores “toxic masculinity” and the tendency for men to keep their emotions bottled up, doing everything in their power to maintain that stereotypical “machismo” image.
The third single to be taken from the album The Problem of Leisure: A Celebration of Andy Gill and Gang of Four, is a new interpretation of “Paralysed” by all-female band, Warpaint.
The Problem of Leisure is set for release on May 28, 2021. It’s a double album of tracks written by Andy Gill and Gang of Four, all newly reinterpreted and recorded by artists whose own unique contributions to music were enriched by listening to Gang of Four. The album features songs from across Gang of Four’s 40-plus year career, each individually chosen by the artists who covered them.

Following up from ‘Cold Winter’, London-based rapper Le3 bLACK, unveils his second single ‘Status’ ahead of his forthcoming ‘3 LINK’ EP. With production and a feature from Aerside, the track teases a completely new and refined sound for Le3, taking influence from left-field electronic music, this new single is the perfect glimpse into his unique and versatile artistry. He explains how he wanted to go down a route where sharp, artificial sounds were the leading energy in the track. “It resembles the current feeling that I am in, having been interested by fluorescent lights and colourful scenery I wanted something that would grab any listener by the ear and pull them in.”
