Kina ft Mishaal – Tell Me About You
In speaking about the collaboration, Kina says: “I heard this song on Mishaal’s Instagram and saw that all of his followers were tagging me to collab on it. The lyrics, mood, melody, everything, was what I try to express with my production and my music: being honest about your secrets and open about who you really are.”
JIMMIE ALLEN AND LOUIS YORK FT. THE SHINDELLAS – “WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS MEAN”
Originally featured on multi-GRAMMY nominated songwriting and production team Louis York’s 2017 EP Masterpiece Theater: Act III alongside fellow Weirdo Workshop artists The Shindellas, Allen joined both artists for a reimagined 2020 version that marries each artist’s signature sound to create a track filled with soul, jazz, R&B, pop, an infusion of variety show energy and a whole lot of merry cheer. It’s a rare gem, that Scott couldn’t wait to record, “I stumbled upon this song partway through quarantine while listening to Queen’s catalog and it caught me by surprise. I didn’t know that Queen had ever recorded any Christmas material and I’ve since learned that almost no one else was aware either! I’m so inspired by the musical genius of Freddie Mercury and Queen so when I heard the track I just had to record it!” Besides vocals, Scott plays acoustic guitar, ukulele, piano, keyboards, and synths on the track.
“The video started as all GoPro shot on my bike, because I could do it myself without seeing anyone. I would ride my bike from Bushwick to Times Square to the Oculus and back – I wouldn’t get off my bike at all because the city was in lockdown. No bodega, no restroom stops – just bike somewhere with the right spooky aesthetic and ride home. I would go out a few times a week to get a variety of sky backgrounds, and after filming over 8 hours of footage myself, Jordan Fuller and friends filmed me in Manhattan in full PVC attire. Somewhere along the way, some dude caught me on his phone in the wild, and two days after, my Mom in Michigan sends me a TikTok of me on Canal street, already at 480k views – no tag of course – which has now passed 1.6 million views and has comments from around the world asking if I’m Lady Gaga or Keanu Reeves’ gf.”
John Driskell Hopkins Shares “Missing You All, All The Time”
John Driskell Hopkins today announces new album Lonesome High and shares the single “Missing You All, All The Time.” The track is a reflective ballad that takes stock of Hopkins’ years spent on the road as a member of the Zac Brown Band. Written with songwriter and good friend D. Vincent Williams (“I’m Movin’ On” by Rascal Flatts, Ty Herndon’s “Hands of a Working Man”) the track is honest and tender as it acknowledges the burden that the life of a professional musician can place on those close to them. Hopkins explains ” Over the years, the touring regimen has continued to improve professionally, but we find ourselves away from home more and more frequently. It is very common for all of us to miss our family, and this tune is all about that. It starts with a piano driven music box dancer feel in the beginning and progresses through a very harmony rich vocal stack throughout the choruses. This is the one that my girls sing to me the most.”
Tezza Debuts Official Music Video for “Mercury Rising”
“Think rhinestone space suits, lime green neon, stark white backdrops and cosmic inspired futuristic high fashion. That’s exactly what I envisioned when putting together the music video for my current single,” explains Tezza. “It was so much fun to see and feel the spacesuits come to life under the bright flashing lights and wide-eyed focus of the camera lens. We went from neon green to metallic silver and experimented with pulsing green strobe lights and static ridden tv sets. Everything went without a “hitch”… unless we’re talking about on a rocket!”
Country Newcomer Dani Jack Debuts Music Video for “Fun To Be Had”

Witherfall “As I Lie Awake” Official Video Directed By Zev Deans
WITHERFALL comments: “‘As I Lie Awake’ is the catchiest WITHERFALL song to date. It was created with much arguing and loud drunken chicanery. Early on the band and producer Jon Schaffer agreed that this should be the lead single. Director Zev Deans who had directed Ghost’s ‘Dance Macabre’ was enlisted for the job and the video for ‘As I Lie Awake’ features a great ‘Lost Boys’ styled treatment. Thanks again to Duffs in Brooklyn, we didn’t mean to spill blood and wine on your carpet…”

GONE WRONG :: The NEW SINGLE & VIDEO
They wake up every day knowing they’re going to face some real shit, but still get up to meet the day. Putting a burden on themselves by placing other people’s needs before their own yet never expecting recognition for it.
The main statement of this story is, standing tall, despite it all, ’cause that’s just who I am.
Thrash/hardcore revolutionists WAR ORPHAN, featuring guitarist Richie Cipriano (ex-SICK OF IT ALL, REACH), drummer Dante Renzi (REACH) and vocalist David Bason (BARFBAG, LORDS OF THE DRIFT), are paying tribute to THE EXPLOITED’s controversial track “F*ck the USA,” with a new version, “F*ck the NRA,” that takes aim at the National Rifle Association. Debuting first at WeAreThePit.com, the daring new track is a searing protest song about the death dealing war machine, which has consistantly turned a deaf ear to the epidemic of gun violence.
Partner’s Never Give Up is out now on You’ve Changed Records!
Never Give Up is Partner’s second full-length album, following 2017’s In Search of Lost Time. In the years since their first release, the band has developed their “post classic rock” sound, leaving behind 90s rock comparisons. The new album retains elements that will be familiar to Partner fans, such as guitar solos and humorous subject matter, but with more structurally adventurous songs and abstract lyrics. They have spent the last several years on tour with drummer Simone TB, and this is evident in the looser and more confident performances captured on the album. Never Give Up was recorded by Steve Chaley at Palace Sound in the summer of 2019.
The Juliana Theory Returns w/First New Music in 15 Yrs; Announces Signing to Equal Vision Records
“I think people are feeling uncertain right now,” said songwriter and vocalist Brett Detar. “I’d say that it’s pretty impossible not to feel that way. As humans I imagine we’ve always innately known that there’s no way to turn back the hands of time to simpler days but 2020 has fed us all an uncomfortably large dose of unfamiliarity – ‘wayward stranger days.’ Is this uncertainty a new normal? I’m not sure but I’ve always used music as a coping mechanism and I think this year I’ve needed it more than at any other point in my life. Many of us are feeling isolated and removed. Joyous collective experiences like live music shows are gone for the foreseeable future along with many of the other communal ways we come together as humans. Longing for that cathartic sense of collective unity one only gets from a gathering of people, we tried our best to capture the sound and feeling of a large group of people singing a simple melody together in unison in the chorus.”
THE LICKERISH QUARTET—ex-Jellyfish members Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Beck, Air, Cheap Trick, Imperial Drag), Tim Smith (Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Finn Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Umajets) and Eric Dover (Imperial Drag, Slash’s Snakepit, Alice Cooper, Sextus)—is standing by their promise to their fans to release more new music before the end of 2020.

Dahl releases heartfelt new song “BEST FOR ME”
Today, Trevor Dahl of multi-platinum EDM trio Cheat Codes returns with soul-stirring new track, “Best For Me,” an orchestral ballad that sees Dahl grapple with forgiveness and acceptance as he ruminates on his ex. “Best For Me” is the third single off of his forthcoming debut EP, After Ours.
Speaking of the track, Dahl explains “”Best for me” is about saying goodbye to someone even though you love them. You want the best for that person, and sometimes that means you might not be a part of their future. That’s a hard pill to swallow sometimes, but you do that sort of thing for people you truly care about…Being able to work with Sasha Sloan and King Henry on this song was a dream. They are such talented people, and such a powerful combo when they come together. I’ve been a big fan of their work for a long time now, so it’s always awesome working with people you respect so much.”

Everything about Yumi Ito’s new LP titled Stardust Crystals is absolutely audacious! It’s a big band record, which she wrote and arranged for an 11-piece outfit. The material traverses neo-classical, art-pop, references progressive electronica and gives a singular twist to a classical jazz sound. And then there’s the choice of topics: stories about the highs and lows of life, each one like a an intimate entry snatched from the pages of a diary.
The Prosaics, aka A.G. Williams, is one man with a machine, who through his songs offers both romance and disappointment and is a solution to the vacuous pop that seems to dominate the airwaves. His songs are wry, scornful and cripplingly English. ‘Frown’ the debut single from this uniquely clever and obscure music artist, is released on 20th November via DistroKid.
‘Frown’ explores the under-appreciated notion that all emotions should be worthwhile in the human experience. The song controversially triumphs the thought that one should strive to be unhappy. Excommunicate from the cult of silver linings and fake smiles. The track was recorded entirely naked in the dark!
Raissa debuts video for latest track “CROWDED,”
“I made this video with my friend Flo (Florence Kosky), we both are big fans of Studio Ghibli and so when I told her I wanted to do my own version of the meteor scene in Howl’s Moving Castle, she knew exactly how to bring that to life,” Raissa says. “In many ways Herogirl is a reimagining of the heroines in Studio Ghibli films – so it’s a big reference and influence for the project as a whole and that shows in the visual aspects of HEROGIRL. The animator, Anthony Schepperd, who worked on ‘GO FAST BABY,’ did the animations for ‘CROWDED’ too, continuing with that part-anime part-live action universe that’s meant to make the fantasy and larger than life nature of the project shine through even more!”
On the special holiday project, Erath includes an original written song titled Favorite Time Of Year. “Favorite Time Of Year is a fun catchy Christmas song that brings people together, especially now when the world seems to need it most.” explains Erath.

Lowertown’s Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg first met in math class in high school after discovering their shared love for DIY music, and now they create, record, produce and master all of their tracks from their basement studio. They released their debut single “George” in 2018 (recorded when the pair were just 16 years old), and subsequent debut LP Friends in 2019 which garnered millions of organic streams on Spotify. Call 2020 what you will, the year has been epic for Osby and Weinberg who graduated high school, completed another EP and signed with Dirty Hit. Influenced by the likes of Aphex Twin, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, (Sandy) Alex G, and Animal Collective, Lowertown have already begun making waves in the UK, having drawn acclaim from The Guardian who praised their “intricate prettiness and Oliva Osby’s spirited frustration,” and The Observer who made “Best Person You Know” a “Hot Track” just last weekend. Andy Velo Shares Intoxicating New Single “Whiskysippi”
“This song reminded me of the rock drive of Travis Tritt who I love and that was one of the elements I wanted to have,” stated Velo. “My producer and I took this in the studio and what resulted was something I feel was more than everything I’d envisioned it being with its four on the floor drive meshed with some soul of the Mississippi Delta.”
DMY and 0800-MOSHI-MOSHI proudly presents the first track from the forthcoming debut E.P by Brighton-based Speedboat. After spending all their musical lives apart, siblings Johnny and Will Griffiths finally started writing together at home in 2017. Initially rejecting, and then taking inspiration from their Dad’s collection of 80’s pop, indie and new wave the brothers settled on the name Speedboat as something which encapsulated their widescreen new wave inspired synth pop. Working from their flat the pair would swap duties on vocals, guitars, synths and keys and with the writing and recording blurred into one process they produced something surprisingly expansive and cinematic.
