Rare DM shares new single/video “Send N***s” via PAPER Mag

“The video started as all GoPro shot on my bike, because I could do it myself without seeing anyone. I would ride my bike from Bushwick to Times Square to the Oculus and back – I wouldn’t get off my bike at all because the city was in lockdown. No bodega, no restroom stops – just bike somewhere with the right spooky aesthetic and ride home. I would go out a few times a week to get a variety of sky backgrounds, and after filming over 8 hours of footage myself, Jordan Fuller and friends filmed me in Manhattan in full PVC attire. Somewhere along the way, some dude caught me on his phone in the wild, and two days after, my Mom in Michigan sends me a TikTok of me on Canal street, already at 480k views – no tag of course – which has now passed 1.6 million views and has comments from around the world asking if I’m Lady Gaga or Keanu Reeves’ gf.”

John Driskell Hopkins Shares “Missing You All, All The Time”

John Driskell Hopkins today announces new album Lonesome High and shares the single “Missing You All, All The Time.” The track is a reflective ballad that takes stock of Hopkins’ years spent on the road as a member of the Zac Brown Band. Written with songwriter and good friend D. Vincent Williams (“I’m Movin’ On” by Rascal Flatts, Ty Herndon’s “Hands of a Working Man”) the track is honest and tender as it acknowledges the burden that the life of a professional musician can place on those close to them. Hopkins explains ” Over the years, the touring regimen has continued to improve professionally, but we find ourselves away from home more and more frequently. It is very common for all of us to miss our family, and this tune is all about that. It starts with a piano driven music box dancer feel in the beginning and progresses through a very harmony rich vocal stack throughout the choruses. This is the one that my girls sing to me the most.”

Tezza Debuts Official Music Video for “Mercury Rising”

“Think rhinestone space suits, lime green neon, stark white backdrops and cosmic inspired futuristic high fashion. That’s exactly what I envisioned when putting together the music video for my current single,” explains Tezza. “It was so much fun to see and feel the spacesuits come to life under the bright flashing lights and wide-eyed focus of the camera lens. We went from neon green to metallic silver and experimented with pulsing green strobe lights and static ridden tv sets. Everything went without a “hitch”… unless we’re talking about on a rocket!”

Witherfall “As I Lie Awake” Official Video Directed By Zev Deans

WITHERFALL comments: “‘As I Lie Awake’ is the catchiest WITHERFALL song to date. It was created with much arguing and loud drunken chicanery. Partner’s Never Give Up is out now on You’ve Changed Records!

Never Give Up is Partner’s second full-length album, following 2017’s In Search of Lost Time. In the years since their first release, the band has developed their “post classic rock” sound, leaving behind 90s rock comparisons. The new album retains elements that will be familiar to Partner fans, such as guitar solos and humorous subject matter, but with more structurally adventurous songs and abstract lyrics. They have spent the last several years on tour with drummer Simone TB, and this is evident in the looser and more confident performances captured on the album. Never Give Up was recorded by Steve Chaley at Palace Sound in the summer of 2019.

The Juliana Theory Returns w/First New Music in 15 Yrs; Announces Signing to Equal Vision Records

“I think people are feeling uncertain right now,” said songwriter and vocalist Brett Detar. “I’d say that it’s pretty impossible not to feel that way. As humans I imagine we’ve always innately known that there’s no way to turn back the hands of time to simpler days but 2020 has fed us all an uncomfortably large dose of unfamiliarity – ‘wayward stranger days.’ Is this uncertainty a new normal? I’m not sure but I’ve always used music as a coping mechanism and I think this year I’ve needed it more than at any other point in my life. Many of us are feeling isolated and removed. Joyous collective experiences like live music shows are gone for the foreseeable future along with many of the other communal ways we come together as humans. Longing for that cathartic sense of collective unity one only gets from a gathering of people, we tried our best to capture the sound and feeling of a large group of people singing a simple melody together in unison in the chorus.”

Speaking of the track, Dahl explains “”Best for me” is about saying goodbye to someone even though you love them. You want the best for that person, and sometimes that means you might not be a part of their future. That’s a hard pill to swallow sometimes, but you do that sort of thing for people you truly care about…Being able to work with Sasha Sloan and King Henry on this song was a dream. They are such talented people, and such a powerful combo when they come together. I’ve been a big fan of their work for a long time now, so it’s always awesome working with people you respect so much.”

Raissa debuts video for latest track “CROWDED,”

“I made this video with my friend Flo (Florence Kosky), we both are big fans of Studio Ghibli and so when I told her I wanted to do my own version of the meteor scene in Howl’s Moving Castle, she knew exactly how to bring that to life,” Raissa says. “In many ways Herogirl is a reimagining of the heroines in Studio Ghibli films – so it’s a big reference and influence for the project as a whole and that shows in the visual aspects of HEROGIRL. The animator, Anthony Schepperd, who worked on ‘GO FAST BABY,’ did the animations for ‘CROWDED’ too, continuing with that part-anime part-live action universe that’s meant to make the fantasy and larger than life nature of the project shine through even more!”
