David Poe – New Single Out Today

David Poe’s electrifying new single, “Gun For A Mouth,” arrives September 18th, 2020 on ECR Music Group (SONY/Orchard). It’s the first song from his forthcoming album Everyone’s Got A Camera (2021). “Gun For A Mouth” follows a handful of pointed single releases including “Who Built The Wall” and “What The President Said” that fired up social media, shared by the likes of Gloria Steinem, Jane Fonda, and T Bone Burnett.

“Every songwriter worth their salt is striving for the kind of balanced poetry and simplicity that Poe seems to just pour out,” said No Depression of Poe’s most recent full-length effort God & The Girl. NME describes Poe’s songs as “Storytelling with beautiful, lush, guitar-underpinned music.” The Village Voice declared him “The major domo of songwriters.”

Yusuf / Cat Stevens New Album “Tea for the Tillerman2” Out Today Via UMe

Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ incredible reimagining Tea for the Tillerman² is released today via UMe. The album, which includes previously released singles “Where Do The Children Play?,” “On The Road To Find Out” and latest release “Father And Son,” is already receiving critical acclaim across the globe. Mojo confirms that there is “tangible conceptual integrity across these beefier, richly detailed new versions,” and the album is described as “a powerful way to track the passing of time” by the NME. Rolling Stone enthused, “The new renditions of the 11 Tea for the Tillerman tracks are not note-for-note recreations. In many cases, they are lusher than the sparse originals and some take surprising left turns, like a funkafied ‘Longer Boats’ featuring guest vocals from rapper Brother Ali.


“Me and Oliver have been working together forever,” Whethan shared. “We put out ‘When I’m Down’ 4 years ago and it was our first song that really blew up and got us both record deals. Here we are, years later, still working together and we’re putting out our best song to date.”

“I made this song before I retired,” Oliver Tree explained, “there’s a couple features that I have from pre-retirement that may or may not come out.”


The five-song collection is highlighted by lead single “Preach” whose official music video is available to stream on the band’s YouTube channel. Part 2 also features the previously released track, “A Good Song Never Dies” which debuted in PlayStation’s MLB The Show 20.
