He had his shades and headphones on and was reading a book, but in my mind, he was totally into me. I kept glancing over at him, waiting for him to look at me. Until he finally got up…. and got off the train. Didn’t even notice me. I thought to myself, ‘What if this was the person? What if that was the opportunity and we missed it?'” She explains, “By the time I got home, I had the full song, ‘Birds of a Feather,’ in my head. While in New York, he was the guitarist on rapper Que Believe’s “Diamonds” and a touring guitarist for Brooklyn indie rockers It Was Romance. Moffat was a session musician for hip-hop/EDM producers Soca Rebel and Ray DaPlug at BMJ Studios. As an audio engineer, Moffat worked as an assistant recording engineer under former Passion Pit and Team Spirit member Ayad Al Adhamy at Diamond City Studios.

“It’s a song about perseverance and finding your place in the world, defeating the awkwardness of growing up which I think is something all young people struggle with, all over the world. It’s a battle cry for the underdog!! Life in social situations when your young can feel like war.
For the video, we were lucky enough to work with our longtime friends and artist Jamie Lynn and Scottie Daniels on the set design and our good friend Don Tyler directed the shoot.
The song is off our last EP titled “the Mass Debate”, which is essentially the flip side to our new EP which is coming out in October titled “Sour to Punker”.”

It’s a track that settles in your hips and is both danceable and something to put on in the bedroom. The collab between Olisae and Shaan on this piece will serve as an introduction to a radio-ready international sound from the pair.
