New single Love, Space & Time is a loving, psychedelic trip along the earliest childhood memories to the currently found feeling of unity of Certain Animals. Hhinting to Creedence Clearwater Revival, A reverberated intro easily glides into a droning riff which could have been taken from an unused B-side of The Beatles’ Rubber Soul or Revolver.
Local H Shares “Hold That Thought” Live Video
Alt-rock duo Local H have shared the live video for their recently released banger “Hold That Thought.” Of that video, Scott Lucas says, “Ryan got a GoPro for Christmas, so we decided to put it to use. It’s a pretty good video representation of what that tour with Soul Asylum was like. The decision to start dressing like WHAM! and wear those ‘CHOOSE LIFE’ shirts seemed like a pretty obvious idea to me —our new record is called “LIFERS”— but I’m not sure people got it. I think some people thought we were making some kind of a pro-life statement. We were NOT making a pro-life statement.”
High Tone Son of a Bitch (HTSOB) was originally formed by brothers Paul and Andrew Kott from the ashes of Oakland prog/doom sludge masters Cruevo. The band preceded Paul’s work in the Matt Pike-fronted Bay Area metal band Kalas, which the press dubbed an underground “supergroup”.
Walk Off the Earth and gnash Release “Nicknames”
On their new single, Walk Off the Earth shares, “We’ve all been in that relationship where you and your ex share the same social circle. Pretty Ricky, the Reunited R&B Heroes, Share the Visual for “Quarantine & Chill” Anthem “Body”
The first group to mix smooth R&B with rapid-fire rhymes, Pretty Ricky is one of the best-loved and most influential R&B acts that debuted in the ’00s. The Miami, Florida natives have two platinum singles under their belt (“Grind with Me” and “On the Hotline”), plus three more Gold-certified smashes (full-lengths Bluestars and Late Night Special, plus single “Your Body”).
‘Luz’ is the second release from Afonso. The song represents a self-analysis, where the singer focusses on his necessity of development and discovery within himself, although the song was written for the minds that don’t recognise this quality. ‘Luz’, meaning light in Portuguese – the singer’s mother tongue, acts as a teaching piece, almost like an enlightenment for the listener. To Afonso, this phenomenon has been very important throughout his life and it’s what makes him feel whole, so he sings to underline the fact that it’s only possible to reach this thought through the level of sincerity you have with yourself, your emotions and your journey. It’s by facing his demons that the singer frees himself of negative thoughts and welcomes happiness. Through the heartfelt chords, groovy percussion and the wave-like harps and strings, Afonso sets himself by the seashore – the place where he feels most at ease and connected with himself.
