She has a great story around her Colombian roots and her sound is a great introduction to World Music.
The new album follows on from her critically acclaimed 2016 album “La Papessa” which went on to win the 2017 Polaris Music Prize. Recently Lido signed a deal with ANTI-, after previously self-releasing her music to date. She’s garnered an incredibly strong fan base with her self-described “industrial reggaeton”, a mix of heavy bass and drums incorporating rhythmic elements from traditional Latin American music, and all held together by her trademark soprano vocals.
