Mr. Ben & The Bens Share New Track “Beast In The House”
Of the video Ben Hall says: “Beast in the House deals with the theme of an ostracised individual in a community through no fault of their own. For the film we decided to explore the idea of a witch hunt but with a slightly warped narrative – an angry medieval mob was amassed from our closest friends. The group are driven mad by mass hysteria and the focus of the narrative is towards the ridiculousness of their journey to single out individuals within their community, for something as trivial as an insect bite (whilst recording the album last summer I was actually suffering the effects of Lyme disease). We juxtapose their story with the serene day to day life of a woman who is unknowingly about to be hunted.”
Hailing from Long Island, New York, Old Bones is the culmination of 20+ year friendships, fights, musical cultivation, and exploration. Following years of stop-start momentum, the band finally found its footing after watching a Mastodon/Opeth show and realizing what they needed to do. After a ton of individual writing, they had enough to begin rehearsing with Griffin McCarthy (Letter of Marque) and ultimately put 5 of these ferocious songs to tape to release them to the masses in March 2020.

Billboard Debuts ‘Ordinary Woes’ New Video from Luke Rathborne
ving in New York City can be as emotionally energizing as it can be destabilizing – oftentimes within the same hour. And it’s that frantic dichotomy that Maine-born, NYC-based singer-songwriter Luke Rathborne beautifully captures in “Ordinary Woes,” a one-take rocker that deftly teeters between exhilaration and exhaustion over a rush of careening guitar riffage.
The video for “Ordinary Woes,” premiering below, is similarly animated – literally. In addition to directing the clip, Rathborne spent 30 hours animating it frame-by-frame, adding in effects like comix-style vibrating lines as well as spirals and scratches over his eyes as he wanders through Times Square, subway tunnels and other late-night NYC haunts.
