DANA WILLIAMS RELEASES NEW TRACK “SILLY WORDS” TODAY VIA ISLAND RECORDS

Dana Williams makes a triumphant return with the release of her new single “Silly Words,” out today on Island Records. The song depicts the fear of opening-up in a relationship – if you say those “Silly Words” and tell someone how you really feel, then that love could be lost. Its lovely melody is met with elegant strings as Williams croons “Maybe if I’m the one who leaves you first, you’ll think of me as a pioneer. Don’t make me say those silly words.”

“’Silly Words’ is about the fear of admitting love at the beginning of a relationship and the impending doom that something will eventually go wrong. There’s this feeling of anxiety and fear of rejection that being vulnerable brings. It’s about appreciating the person for who they are and hoping for a mutual acceptance, but ultimately being prepared to run from imminent rejection, at any moment.” – Dana Williams
