“”Motion Sick” is a ballad I wrote after taking a trip to Portland, OR with my family. Trusting our reliable navigation system, we ended up on the side of a mountain, in the middle of nowhere. Recalling that feeling of motion sickness driving through the mountains, I realized that is exactly how I feel trying to make it as an artist in Nashville sometimes. Working a full time job during the day and pursuing music at the same time can be extremely tough – yet rewarding.
And, often times the navigation process can feel like a back road or two. At the end of the day, despite the chaos of life and the feelings that ensue, it’s important to not loose sight of yourself and what you truly love. I send all my congratulations and a massive thank you to everybody who has made this track such an enjoyable process to write and release. “Motion Sick” will also be apart of an EP releasing in April 2020 – stay tuned!”
