Belle Mt. Releases Live Video For “Origins”, Featuring Grammy-winning producer Femke Weidema
London-based songwriter Belle Mt. recently released a music video for his new single “Origins.” Today, he shares a live performance video of the song beautifully shot in The Vineyard Church in Nashville, TN. The video begins with what appears to be a mere solo acoustic performance. But soon it expands to feature church organ played by Grammy award-winning producer Femke Weidema, group vocals from Jon Reynolds & The Aches, as well as light percussion, all filmed in one shot. This delicate blend of musical elements works perfectly to fill the cathedral’s resonant space, and adds up to a performance that is worthy of the resplendent surroundings.

New Video: Dempsey Bolton – “What About You”
Prior to pouring his feelings about love and longing onto paper, Dempsey Bolton grew up with a passion for art in all forms. As a classical violinist at Suzuki Charter School, he began his love affair with music at the age of 5. Currently, Dempsey is working with collaborator Trey Mills on his debut album which deals with themes of love and the media, delving deep into how tv and movies create unrealistic expectations for romantic relationships.
“We are thrilled to announce the 6th full album release by Radio Drive, featuring Kevin Gullickson, titled “In The Light”. Released on Aug 12, 2019, the album is already receiving massive indie radio play and rave reviews.”
QC’S LAYTON GREENE DROPS NEW VIDEO
Quality Control’s FIRST AND ONLY R&B signee, Layton Greene, just dropped the video to her new single “I Love You” starring Power actor, Michael Rainey.
“I Love You” is the first single from her forthcoming EP Tell Your Story. Layton’s story is one of real struggle growing up often without parents, on her own, working until 1am at a Wingstop every school night living in a house with no adults and no electricity at points and dealing with racism from her own family.
Camp Howard Premieres “Surprise” via New Noise Magazine
Camp Howard is an indie-rock quartet based in Richmond, Virginia fronted by songwriters Nic Perea and Wes Parker, and backed by Matt Benson and Brian Larson. The band composes songs in both English and Spanish (courtesy of Perea – who is Mexican). The group released “Juice EP” in May of 2017 through Egghunt Records. In May of 2018, the bands efforts were rewarded with a support tour opening for Stone Temple Pilots. Camp Howard has continued to tour and grow with an emphasis on tight musicianship and honest self-expression. The band is currently preparing to self-release a new full-length record in the fall of 2019.
Stereogum names them a Band To Watch, saying the album “takes a hard left from the grunge-indebted indie rock of their 2017 debut, Plastic Cough, into an emotional world of tender orchestration and folk-bent anthems…like a mashup of Hop Along’s yearning guitars with Big Thief’s whisper-sung vocals.””
Ed Sheeran’s record-smashing “Divide” tour concluded last night and Pollstar can officially confirm that it’s the highest-grossing tour of all time, reaching a staggering overall gross of $775.6 million from 8.9 million tickets sold on six continents. The previous record was U2’s 360 tour, which reached $735.3 over the span of two years.
“What Ed Sheeran and his team have accomplished in surpassing U2’s records represents the height of achievement in the world of live performance,” says Ray Waddell, president of media and conferences at Oak View Group, which owns live industry trade publications Pollstar and VenuesNow. “While U2’s 360 tour and Ed Sheeran’s Divide tour were different in many ways, what these two tours have in common are great songs performed well, smart, dedicated teams behind them, tireless work ethic, and, most importantly, passionate fans who connect deeply with what the artist has to say. This is a remarkable feat.”
Ann Marie Plays “Karma” Police in New Video!
“Ann Marie’s silky vocals are inspired by a past era of R&B, she isn’t a throwback though; her blend of hip-hop cadences and traditional R&B melodies isn’t contrived for the purpose of inspiring nostalgia.” — Pitchfork
RHEOSTATICS SHARE “VANCOUVER,” OPENING TRACK ON HERE COME THE WOLVES.
City of Glass, hall of mirrors: “Vancouver,” a swooping birds-eye view of a city constructed in memory and imagination, is the third cut from Rheostatics’ Here Come The Wolves out in advance of the album’s September 6 release date. The dizzying pacific cynic travelogue builds and flutters around Martin Tielli’s vocals, a hypnotic and delicately jittery opener to the band’s first new record in over a decade.
Demonstrating clear songwriting prowess, indie-folk artist Oly Sherman has returned with a stunning new record in Three Oh Three. An intensely personal EP, Sherman invites the listener in to gather an insight into the workings of a creative going through one of the most significant moments of his life. From it, Sherman leads this new rollout with the release of the EP’s title track, a nuanced slice of music that highlights his emotional lyrical side, as well as his confidence in bringing some darker stories to light.
TENTS Share “Medicine” Video | ‘Medicine’ LP Out 10/11 On Badman Recording Co.
Portland-based band TENTS have shared the video for their title track single “Medicine”. The LP will be out 10/11 on Badman Recording Co.
TENTS is a surprising departure from Northwest based indie pop. The band, based in Portland Oregon, serves up neighborhood nostalgia with a slant. Melancholy is a theme, both musically and lyrically, but the music doesn’t dwell on pain. Thick harmonies and bouncy grooves float the listener towards jubilance.
