New Myths Share New Track Via CelebMix | “Living Doll” Out Now Across All DSPs

“Brooklyn trio New Myths are known for sleek synthpop but on new single “One Good Reason” they let ‘er rip, new wave rocker style.” – BrooklynVegan

“New Myths…darkly embroidered rock and synthpop, composed of drum hits that cast long shadows and synth tones that radiate an inner glow. Their guitars are supermassive and seem to suck away the air around them, and above this precise, conducted darkness their voices weave into gorgeous arabesques of harmony.” – The Guardian

Seattle Soul Punk Band, Down North Drops New Single, “Your World”

When the world seems chaotic, artists sometimes create clarity. That was the driving force behind Down North’s “Your World,” a fast-paced track inspired by a child dancing in Toys ‘R Us and dedicated to the short-lived life of Milwaukee’s Sandra Parks, a 13-year old student and award-winning anti-gun essayist who was shot and killed in her bedroom in 2018 by stray bullets.

With lyrics that tell the story of a little girl brushing her hair in her bedroom, Down North’s front man, Anthony Briscoe, portrays a simple scene that would fall to pieces should a stray bullet shoot through the glass of her window panes. With a voice that summons righteous anger and beautiful uplift, Briscoe brings a full range of emotions to the listener’s ear.

Today, genre-defying duo Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis, better known as Striking Matches are releasing the first single/lyric video off their upcoming EP, Noon. “Boring” hits the band at a time where they are fully leaning into their inability to be confined to one genre. “As we’ve grown and found ourselves, we’ve realized that people call us a lot of different things..rock, blues, country, alt-pop, and then some…and truthfully, we LOVE that. We get to live in so many different worlds and experience so many different things, that instead of shying away and trying to fit in someone else’s box, we’ve just made our own,” the band says.

Tinariwen Share New Song “Zawal” feat. Warren Ellis + More

First of all, Tinariwen are a desert band, only certain aspects of which the western music industry can ever hope to capture and present. Tinariwen existed long before any of their albums were recorded and they still exist quite distinct from their discographic dimension. So the best Tinariwen album doesn’t exist. But it’s still worth trying to go and find it.

Chickn announce new album, Bel Esprit, unleash “Infrared Panda Club” [pop/art rock, Inner Ear, Greece]

“Infrared Panda Club” is the first offer of CHICKN’s third LP “Bel Esprit”, track-listed third on the album. A truly bizarre yet uplifting song that popped Angelos, the band’s guitarist and vocalist, out of a nightmare some months ago and furled into the smallest club into this world. It’s nothing more but an Infrared, meaning when not using a filter the club behaves like a normal club with no special characteristics. Alike Panda bears, it involves gallons of water. Feel free to join the Club!
