Having made a welcome return with the release of her stunning new single Ruins, as featured on Spotify New Music Friday and Zoe Balls BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show, Gabriella Cilmi today releases the video for the new track, which was filmed at Eastcote studio where the single was recorded.
We filmed the video up at Eastcote where we recorded the EP! I love that studio because it doesnt have a new studio smell and it feels well worn in – Bob Marley owned the mixing desk at some point! The video is made up of footage of us recording the EP. We took turns filming each other on our i-phones or whatever camera we could get our hands on. I take responsibility for the wobbly bits. Eliot, who produced the EP, edited the video too, so its all in-house. Special shout out to Eliots son and the tiny kids choir made up of his school friends – if you listen close you can hear them on Ruins…Im not sure they could relate to the lyrics but they were so cute!!
