Max, Jack, Henry and Ethan are four students that make up Bristol/Sheffield based Indie Rock band Exiled, the love child of a steamy one night stand between The Wombats & Catfish and The Bottlemen, with a guitar led sound made for good times, rough nights and growing up.

James recently contributed a powerful original song called “From The Grave” for the For The Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones), a genre-spanning album released by Columbia Records and HBO on April 26. The collection serves as an extension of the Game of Thrones experience and was derived from the show’s iconic storylines and themes.

Juan Magán, the iconic “King of Electrolatino,” has joined forces with reggaeton legend Don Omar to unleash a new sultry single titled “Si Te Atreves,” inspired by Alvaro Diaz Lorenzo’s forthcoming comedy film “Los Japón,” slated to premiere in Spain on June 28.

The rising band out of Inglewood, California threads together raw and real stories that appeal to any audience but feel at home within the group’s cocktail of R&B, hip-hop, and rock. The trio preceded its release with a stream of hypnotic and heartfelt singles: “Dodger Black,” “Something To Talk About,” and “You Light My Fire.” Respectfully, each song is layered in relatable themes: from navigating the gritty streets, to conflict resolution, to the blissful feel of falling in love. Their sound is self-produced; fraternal twins Jess and Rey and younger brother AusTon co-write songs; Rey plays guitar; AusTon on keys; Jess bears her soul through her passionate singing. Their chemistry is versatile—able to shift gears—whether AusTon leads with a raspy drawl on the smoky hip-hop rumble of “Dodger Black” or the calm lullaby of Rey and Jess on “Something To Talk About.”

Elle Azar Wants to “Get Your Hopes Up” with Earmilk Debut

“The production in this track perfectly encapsulates this inner turmoil between hope and hopelessness with its sparkling synths backed by dark and booming percussions,” Earmilk’s Valeria Kolomiets wrote on Thursday, “Meandering through a full-bodied composition textured with instrumental souvenirs, the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel shines through in Elle Azar’s modestly commanding vocals. Seamlessly guiding us through the hauntingly catchy hooks and stirring bridges, Azar sets us up in her safe space— filling us with peace in our hearts and rhythm in our feet… We’ll be sure to follow her advice and get our hopes up for an honest, refreshing, and absolutely stunning debut.”

SUR Releases New Song “Only Road” Today

“‘Only Road’ is a song about order and chaos and how we all have to deal with these things,” says Zack Arnett. “The yin yang and the balancing act we do in between the two is the road of life and we dance along its path until we reach the end. Without the lowest of lows there are no highest of highs, so along the road we go in search of the next big one.”

Indie-folk Duo Cricket Blue Releases ‘Serotinalia’

It’s fitting that the title of indie-folk duo Cricket Blue’s debut full-length album, Serotinalia, immediately conjures fantasy: Laura Heaberlin and Taylor Smith are musicians, sure, but they’re storytellers, too. On their new album, out today, the duo’s mesmerizing vocal pairing narrates in-depth character studies featuring people on the brink of metamorphoses.

Serotinalia presents a series of flawed protagonists who are all subject to distressing circumstances that act as triggers for psychological transformation. Inspired by literary voices including Alice Munro, Dylan Thomas, and Flannery O’Connor, the album’s eleven songs feature a cast of characters right out of a short story collection: a listless grocery store clerk; a woman obsessed with her milkman; a harvest deity who is ritually murdered every fall. Each has something in common: they are in the middle of situations they are not equipped to deal with, due to emotional and psychological blind spots.

Adrift: New Song “Embers” Streaming via Revolver

Madrid metal band Adrift is one of the most respected bands in the Spanish underground scene. Doomed in mood, the sound of Adrift is at once shaded, triumphant, apocalyptic, atmospheric and progressive; “majestic gloom”, if you will. Adrift will release its new LP, ‘Pure’, on May 31 via Temple of Torturous Records (Valborg, Ultar, Imperial Triumphant). The album is the long-awaited follow up to Adrift’s 2012 release, ‘Black Heart Bleeds Black’, a record described as “if Baroness, Neurosis or Mastodon went into the darker side of metal”.

Whethan says, “I had been sitting on this track with Jeremih for a while now and explored every possible version of the song before landing on this one. I’ve been really inspired by a lot of house music and wanted to find a way to bring that into my world. It was important to me that I made something that people could really dance too. This is probably my favorite track to date and I’m just excited to show my fans where the future of my music is headed.”

Prettiest Eyes Announce New LP, Share Video On BrooklynVegan

Last year’s “Pools” having taken up a sizable chunk of our cold dark hearts, we were delighted to hear that LA post-industrial trio Prettiest Eyes have a new gang of crowd-stirrers. None too early, either; once you’ve become accustomed to their clanging synthetic orbit, it’s hard to find other tunes that truly scratch the same itch. Volume 3 bursts at the seams with chrome-dipped timbres and surprise sharp edges, alien klaxon-calls and wailing dissonance offsetting the ziplock’d grease of their insistent drum and bass grooves. Prettiest Eyes are one of the most exciting live bands going on right now, and Volume 3 catches them in fine fettle. It’s out on Castle Face records June 24th

“Alive in Me,” is a work of particular meaning to Muller, written for his recently departed Mother, Eva. “My Mom was a large influence on my work ethic, my desire to help others, and my quasi-Buddhist nature. She was the only doctor in a small Brazilian town before she moved to the U.S., met another immigrant (my Dad was Austrian), and had two kids. They were married for 58 years. My Mom practiced medicine in New Jersey well into her 70s and would have turned 91 this May 17. I wrote this song just before she passed last year, and I love that I get to remember her every time I play it.”

Norwegian indie pop artist Shikoswe shares charming “Secret Bower”

Nora Shikoswe Hougsnæs, aka Shikoswe, from the small town of Ås in Norway makes indie pop that combines candid lyrics with catchy yet volatile melodies. As she relocated from Copenhagen to Bergen, Shikoswe self released ‘The Hour of the Body’ EP in 2016. Since then she’s been working on her upcoming LP, ‘Back in the Tall Grass’. The first two singles off the album, “To The Dogs” and “Back in the Tall Grass” came out last year accompanied by striking visuals, which set a promising tone for what’s to come from the songwriter who’s been described as “a pop smith totally out of the ordinary, with remarkable strength in a voice that paradoxically also comes across as frail” (Dagsavisen). She shares the charming”
