Having just wrapped the North American leg of the 88 Degrees and Rising Fall tour, Chinese hip-hop group and core members of the pioneering music and arts collective 88rising, the Higher Brothers share the last visual in the 88rising and AirAsia video series. The video is for their song “Lover Boy 88” featured on the collective’s early summer debut album Head In The Clouds and is a remix of Phum Viphurit’s single “Lover Boy.”
Phum is a Thai born, New Zealand raised, Bangkok resident that adds an alternative touch to 88rising’s existing intersectional sound. The video is set in the Higher Brothers’ hometown, Chengdu, China, and captures the group’s influences consisting of American hip-hop culture paired with an established Chinese lifestyle.
