Filled with a grand and broad sense of atmosphere, the alt-RnB artist almost looks to contradict his own strict childhood as he releases his debut EP ‘RITES’, a collection that pays homage to late-night parties and anonymous sex.

Think of someone or somewhere that brings you a feeling of ease, and excitement, and escape from whatever life is for you right now. Whether it’s the dog you had as a child, the secluded place you and your friends could go to be away from adults, the garage where you started your first band, your best friend on a desert camping trip…whatever takes you to that place where nothing else seems to exist or matter, that’s what I wanted to capture with “The Things We Left Below”. It could be a love song, or an ode to a special friendship. I started writing it on my ukulele sitting next to Echo Park Lake with my dog on a breezy day, which I suppose set the tone of the lyrics.
