Yoke Lore escapes the urban jungle in new video ‘CONCRETE’

Following the release of his critically acclaimed new EP Absolutes, Yoke Lore has unveiled the stunning new video for EP track “Concrete.”

Filmed predominately on a trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the video documents all the island’s gorgeous landscapes from a first-person perspective. The video also features cutaways from time spent in New York City to echo the track’s message about needing to live both in the city and in the wild.
‘The song “Concrete” is about my struggle between the rural and the urban. I need the city for its humanity and its pace. But I feel best when I’m in the tress. This video is a visual hunt for those reasons. What parts of myself come out in the forest that I identify with so heavily. What parts of myself come out in the city that I want to engage with and exploit. And can I ever find a balance that suits me.’

Absolutes, out now on Big Indie, explores the grey areas between black and white ideas while building upon the lush, sonic palette of his past works. The new music finds Galvin polishing his heartfelt anthems and ruminating on finding balance amid respective oppositions by breaking through the notion that truth necessitates purity.
