Dream pop duo EGOISM move the body and soothe the mind on new single SORRY

“I wrote this song as a bit of a fuck you to the people who never say sorry for their own mistakes, but then always demand an apology, even if I’m the one who was hurt the most. Easily the most empowering song we’ve ever written ha-ha. We were really going for a The Veronicas meets Slowdive kind of vibe, essentially blending the music of our childhood with the music of our teenage years.” – Scout Eastment (vocals/guitar)

Billy Yfantis also released a new video so as to visualize aesthetically the analog synth sounds of his new track. The promotional video deals with the concept of the analog machines from the 1970s era.

Mousewater – ‘Panic Stations’ Single

Panic Stations, the debut single from MOUSEWATER, brings to light the loss of control that the pressures of everyday living can manifest as anxiety for many.

“I was riding to work on my scooter one morning, it’s about an hour commute, the ride always gives me time to think and sometimes song melodies pop into my head. Wearing a helmet, nobody can hear me, so I play with the melody and lyric. When I get to work I would find some secluded spot to sing the idea onto my phone before it disappeared forever. This was the genesis for a number of the songs on the album, including Panic Stations” – MOUSEWATER

BOSTON MANOR Release “England’s Dreaming,” New Album “Welcome To The Neighbourhood” Out Friday

BOSTON MANOR’s second album Welcome To The Neighbourhood will be released this Friday and the band have unveiled a final taster with their new song “England’s Dreaming,” which is streaming now. Vocalist Henry Cox says that it’s “Probably my favourite track on the record. The song’s about waking up one day and realizing you have nothing in common with your fellow man.” This feeling of isolation and an over-riding sense of bleakness is a thread that can be followed through much of Welcome To The Neighbourhood. It’s an affecting collection of songs that inhabits a world rife with poverty and drug addiction, boarded up shops, and a population unable to escape a predicament they didn’t even know they were in. The song is now available on iTunes and Spotify.
