grandson RELEASES DEBUT EP “a modern tragedy vol. 1”
grandson detailed the EP stating, “a modern tragedy vol. 1 is my first cohesive body of work. It’s a sort of state of the union as told from a fed up, disenfranchised, pissed off young poet.” He added, “This is the only way I know how to release my anger and frustration with the pervasive recklessness and corruption that seeps into how we treat the environment, how we treat one another and how we treat ourselves.”

Alison Limerick’s debut single “Where Love Lives” is, to this day, considered one of the best dance tracks in history. Twenty-eight years after its initial release, it’s still on heavy rotation by top DJs in clubs around the world.
“The video for Third Degree truly depicts one of our proudest moments as a band,” frontman Patrick Miranda explains. “Selling out a venue like the Glasshouse was something none of us ever thought we would be capable of doing. Dirty Heads Release New Single “Visions”
Dirty Heads are kicking off the Summer with a breezy new single called “Visions.” The track is the product of a collaboration between hip-hop producer Blueprint and Dirty Heads’ Jared Watson and Dustin Bushnell. Originally intended for the bands latest album Swim Team, “Visions” caught the attention of Maroon 5 vocalist Adam Levine who requested to record and release the track on their 2017 album Red Pill Blues. Dirty Heads are now putting their own spin on “Visions,” performing it live on their current Summer tour and releasing it as an official single June 15th.
Panteón Rococó Presents “Tonantzin” a Powerful New Single
Tonantzin, the title of the new single by Panteón Rococó, is the name of the Mother Goddess or Mother Earth in some pre-Hispanic cultures. It is a powerful track that tells an almost surreal story from ages ago, as told by ancestors “antes que todo acabara, antes que todo muriera” [before everything ended, before everything died]. A story that becomes a prayer and an offering for Tonantzin.
Bridging the gap between deep-rooted tradition and modern social issues, SHOUT AND SHINE is a testament to the fact that not only can the two topics peacefully coexist, they are also overwhelmingly valuable and important. Fink, Marxer & Gleaves first came together at Common Ground on the Hill, a traditional arts festival in Westminster, Maryland, where Sam Gleaves met folk legends Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer. After bonding over a love of traditional music and social justice, the three began to play together and formed a quick friendship. As their trio debut, SHOUT AND SHINE spotlights the incredible and unconventional friendship between the three — Cathy being 64, Marcy being 62, and Sam being 25 — brought together by the culture, power, love and community of roots music.
extremely bad man, a new project from Dominican-American artist, Julio Tavarez, is releasing two new singles. And, together, they make for extremely good music.
The first single, “Up with the Birdies,” and its B-side, “Venice” officially drops today, June 15, via Kobalt’s AWAL. Both songs brilliantly showcase Tavarez’s ability to seamlessly blend elements of R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop and Electronica. For extremely bad man, Tavarez teamed up with British producer and songwriter, Elliot James (Columbia/Sony Music).
Aly & AJ said of the song: “We specifically wanted to release this song during pride month, so we’ve been looking forward to this moment for a while now. This song represents the feeling you get when you’ve waited long enough for the right kind of love. There’s a relief once you get it and all you want to do is embrace that feeling.”
SMALL TALKS Release Music Video For “Quiet Sounds”
The single is the epic follow-up to the band’s debut EP Until It Turns To Petals, released late last year through Common Ground Records. Written by lead singer-songwriter, Cayley Spivey, the track explores the feeling of building intimacy with someone you care about and, “having someone close enough to me that knows how to calm my anxieties,” explains Spivey.
