Tom Tripp Releases First Single ‘Loving You More’
“Loving You More” is simply proof of why Tom Tripp is a pop-soul natural and one of the purest new singer/songwriter we have. A self-taught musician (plays guitar, bass and drums) the song sees the 22 year old experimenting with influences from his Nigerian heritage and afro-beats as well as the hi-gloss experience of making music in studios in LA. Anchoring the stylistic twist is his signature candid songwriting – raking over the process of letting go after a break up. As Tom says “I am a sensitive Scorpio, I am very in touch with my emotions”.
Mipso Release New Video For “Servant To It”
North Carolina’s beloved Americana band Mipso have released an official video for “Servant To It,” a track from their recently released acclaimed album Edges Run. Premiering with Culture Collide, the video shows the behind-the-scenes dynamic and shenanigans of the band on the road. Mipso’s Libby Rodenbough (vocals, fiddle, songwriter) describes, “There’s a romantic myth about artists that doesn’t square with the banal kind of privilege it usually takes to be one publicly. “Servant To It” is a wink at that myth. This video is a portrait of our reality as working musicians. Jacob Blumberg, the creator, came out on the road with us on a recent run down through the Deep South, and he put together a ton of material—disposable camera stills, old VHS camcorder footage, etc.—in a way that conveys the fun and silliness and strangeness and madness of touring.“

This new cut drops just ahead of the band’s dates at Liverpool Sound City, Newcastle’s Hit The North and Salford’s Sounds From The Other City (dates and times below) – sitting on the post-punk inspired flip-side, it’s perhaps the most guitar-heavy track from the forthcoming release. Watch the new vídeo from Raw in Sect – “Arena”
Raw In Sect’s hometown of Athens is the basis for new single Arena, taken from the band’s upcoming third album Kitro.
Commenting on the song and video, lead vocalista/guitarist Kostas Diamandis says: “Arena is tied with Athens like a wordplay. In Greek it’s called “Athena” so the words resemble each other. The song/video is a hymn about the city itself. The traffic, the worn out buildings, the people, the stray cats and dogs and of course the streets are all part of what composes various parts of the city that you won’t find in tourist guides.” Continuing “Arena is meant to depict the routine/everyday life of normal people and what one sees in a real walk through the city. We wanted to do this as the city itself has been a great source of inspiration throughout the entire record and are sure it’s going to inspire the viewers as well.”
