Check out the new PRESSYES Single “Hideaway”

The new PRESSYES Single “Hideaway” (VÖ 06.04.2018) is full of a certain lust for life, of the urge to go out and show yourself to the world. After the breakup of René Mühlberger’s main band VELOJET he found himself in a free fall. The outside world slowly but surely started growing up – and while one can´t run from that – one can of course create a world for oneself: inside one’s mind – or, even one’s apartment. He spent this time of transition and contemplation building his own home studio full of analogue equipment and recording sounds that fell out of vintage guitars and drum sets, testing and using everything that produces sound, just like a child. No goals, no limits, but with one mindset: to stay positive and do what feels right.

Carrington MacDuffie Releases Debut Album KISS MAKE BETTER Tomorrow

Carrington MacDuffie has announced the release of her first full-length album, the thirteen-track Kiss Make Better, on Friday, April 6, 2018. Kiss Make Better plays on Carrington’s far-reaching influences, which range from the Ramones to Carole King, Boy George, Neil Young, Herb Alpert, Lucinda Williams, Laurie Anderson, American Authors, from Buddy Holly to The Beatles, as well as many other artists and genres, including hip-hop to classical, Scottish marches and Hudson River folk. The album took shape when she was gleaning her repertoire with an eye toward material to pitch for film and television synchronization. With a wealth of music with cinematic inclinations, what emerged is a collection of songs; some new, some spanning a few years, and a pair of covers, which are atmospheric, brimming with emotion, desire and resistance, and full of compelling sonic space.
