Inklings are Here to Fix your Doomed Love Life

“Single Life is a song about the absence of love. The jealousy of those in relationships compared to the loneliness behind free and easy single faces.” Michael Lane, Inklings

Inklings are long-time collaborators Kier Kemp and Michael Lane. They formed in late 2016, musically astray after the end of previous projects (Fearless Vampire Killers, Up), simply wanting to make uplifting music that told a story. They approach their brand of indie rock with an emotional satire influenced by stories of life in London and Berlin.

The duo started 2017 at a run with tour supports (Dead!, Vukovi, Grumble Bee) and collaborations with producer and friend William Vaughan (Crystal Bats). 2018 will see the release of two new singles, a special live session, a documentary and an EP later in the year.

Memphis artist Jai Musiq gracefully returns from his musical hiatus with the release of his new single ‘Patience’

Memphis talent Jai Musiq is quickly gaining a reputation for releasing mesmerising music, as is the case with his latest single ‘Patience’. Jai’s dreamy vocals are accompanied by soft acoustic instrumentation built around a vibrant melody. With a voice that sounds like it’s been dipped in honey, his soothing vocals glide over soulful R&B production.

The chorus of ‘Patience’ leaves you breathless – perfect in pitch, tone and texture. The beautifully layered vocals catch you off guard while the melody transports you to somewhere far away.

Fontaines D.C. met as a quintet in Dublin, influenced and driven in equal measure by the rich history of their hometown’s counter-culture, their response has been to make concise and immediately authentic indie-punk that has done anything but fall on deaf ears.
