LIV CARTLEDGE Releases ‘YOU GOT ME HIGH’
The soft guitar picking and dulcet cowbell pace will instantly apprehend your senses with soulful songstress Liv Cartledge’s intrinsic single ‘YOU GOT ME HIGH’.
Hailing from Victoria’s goldrush town of Beechworth Liv Cartledge has taken the road less travelled to arrive in 2017 guitar in hand and armed with a bevy of disarming songs. As her father’s musical apprentice throughout the early years of her life, Cartledge caught the music bug early on, “Dad showed me many tricks of the trade, one of them being how to strum a chord on guitar on the couch at my Gran and Pops house in Bendigo and from that moment I was sold” from then on there was no turning back. At the tender age of twelve Cartledge began busking in her hometown and joining her builder by day, musician by night dad on stage, and as they say the rest is history.

“Just a Gwen is one reminder in a long lineage of reminders that we live in a society that places the responsibility for harassment and rape prevention on the women affected by it. Campus organizations, articles and pamphlets suggest ways to avoid becoming a target ranging from self-defense pointers to more conservative fashion recommendations, rather than educating men on consent and the harm of sexual harassment.” – Art School Jocks

Listen Azizi Gibson – ‘High’
LA-based rap artist Azizi Gibson has launched ‘High’ — the second single from his hotly-anticipated new album, ‘Memoirs Of The Reaper’.
‘High’, follows quickly on the heels of lead album single, ‘Nintendo King’ — a track described by High Snobiety as a ‘stone-wall banger’ — and again taps into Gibson’s flair for abstract beats and punchy lyricism, all the while channeling a sense of open-ended humility rarely associated with the US rap game.
“A lot of people think the song is about being a human,” Stevens tells Vanity Fair via email. “I believe some of us aren’t human at all. Or at least not completely, but that is still our name. At some point in the last couple hundred years something changed. The androids, the aliens. . . They aren’t coming. We are here. A well-respected emcee in the Detroit underground, Boldy James spits densely detailed rhymes about life in his hometown. Counting cash and pouring lean while preparing his fleet of luxury sports cars, Boldy channels one of the Motor City’s most notorious drug lords in “Maserati Rick.” Rocking a laconic flow over a sparkling, stuttering production, Boldy prowls the streets of Detroit while wearing sunglasses at night. A departure from the gritty soundscapes on which he made his name, the trap-influenced production of “Maserati Rick” is indicative of the atmosphere of House of Blues, Boldy’s latest mixtape. Premiered by HipHopDX, “Maserati Rick” is an engaging and charismatic track for the gym or for the turn-up, proof that Boldy James does not need to sacrifice his lyricism in service of a more mainstream mode.
Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Brett Gleason has just premiered the supremely melancholic video for his current single “Expiration Date” at Purevolume.com. A bleak testament to love’s inherent conclusion, the black and white video took Gleason almost a year to complete, and can be seen here.
Brett had this to say about the video: The ‘Expiration Date’ video took almost a year to make. Whereas the song is a general take on the temporary nature of love and life, the video became more personal with each shoot – the photograph at the start is a picture of me with my first boyfriend and the cemetery we shot in is one where I’ve mourned too many friends. Ultimately, whether dealing with loves loss from death or otherwise, it becomes increasingly difficult to be present in a relationship with the knowledge that every love that’s come before has come to an end, and you will too.

Formed by singer / guitarist Jason Delismon in early 2016, Frontline came to life when Delismon hooked up with lead guitarist, Mike Nowak, bassist, Alex Loeber and keyboardist Diane Tragos when the three of them began writing together, which soon led to the concept of an actual band coming to life. “It was just a writing thing at first,” relates Delismon, “and soon things just started to click and it became obvious that we needed to see this thing through. Before long we began auditioning drummers and Jason Jaros entered the picture.” Soon after the recording of Cold World commenced Nowak had to step down due to personal reasons, to be replaced by Steve Vuko. “After auditioning more than enough guitarists, it was obvious that Steve just had the chemistry needed to fill Mike’s shoes,” Jason recalls.
